I read on CNN his mother's complaint that the US Government did not do enough to save him and indirectly charged that US Government let him be killed.
My only question to her, did the US Government force him to go to Libya, Syria? If he is a journalist and want be adventurous and decided to go to these dangerous hell holes, how can she blame the US Government.?

First, these police shootings and murders you are always bring up are relatively rare in a country of 320 million. We don't live on an island. Yes I do care what goes on elsewhere because it can affect what happens here
No whatever happens in the Middle East does not affect us one little bit how we live here, go to work, raise a family and send our children to school. All the wars this country has fought have been driven by military equipment manufacturers, defense industry lobbyists, war hungry politicians and ideology (Viet Nam).
Except for the Pearl Harbor, we have never been attacked and never fought a war on home turf and never will. There is no country that can come here with its military might and attack us. As for 9/11 it was a terrorist attack and there was no need start two wars. Could have taken down the culprits in so many other ways as President Obama demonstrated (OBL).
Compare the country's exports to the world and Middle East may be next to 0. All our outsourced jobs are in India, Ireland, China, Philippines. Almost 75% to 80% of our consumer goods comes from China.
As of latest report, we are exporting oil! LOL. No Iraq, Syria, Libya are of no concern to us except for McCain, Graham, the other Repub war hawks with deep pockets filled by Defense industry lobbyists!
