1. Goodbye Latino vote.
2. Goodbye black vote.
3. Goodbye below poverty line and expanded Medicaid vote.
4. Goodbye all pre-existing condition voter votes.
5. Goodbye House majority; goodbye Senate majority; goodby GOP candidates in the next election.

For the insurers it would mean, they would have to continue providing ACA compliant policies as long as you pay your premiums.  Your policy expressly says it can’t be cancelled unless the insurer completely withdraws from the market. Those are VESTED contract rights Dude- The Republicans can’t wipe those out by passing a law. But the insurers would go under without the mandate.  Meanwhile endless litigation against the United States for not paying those subsidies on which so many ACA policies are based.

For everyone else, it would mean health care costs would sky and new policies would provide so little coverage they would be worthless.

This is why I can only laugh whenever I hear some Republican clown say – “we gotta repeal Obamacare bc you can’t keep your own doctor.”

They want to repeal and turn millions of insured to uninsured, seniors will lose their Part 'D' benefits, those with pre-existing conditions will lose their insurance and college kids under 26 will be kicked out of their parent's policies.     All those now with expanded Medicaid will again end up in hospital ERs for free treatment.

So if you are voting a Republican Congressman or Senator, what is your alternative to cover all these people?

Now only 1 in 3 Americans approve. Sheez...

Twice as many people have been HURT by Obummercare than have been helped. Ugh...

But none of this matters to you as Ocare is your religion and facts are irrelevant.

It is better than people dying without health insurance or you and me paying for uninsured who flock to ER and get treated for free.

Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid has their share of problems in the beginning few years.    ACA is new, just a year old and give it time to work, make improvements, changes and it will survive.

Lastly, if you don't like something, make sure you have something else to replace it!   As far ACA the Republicans don't have anything to replace it.    Their gripe is the law was signed by a Black President.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention, Jack. So since there are 150 registered voters, what you are telling us is about 94 million oppose repeal, right? And since there are about 207 million eligible voters, we are talking about over 130 million oppose repeal?

Starting to feel a little lonely, Jack?

But wait- you can save face by showing that, at least in states carried by Mr. Mitt “the first thing I’m going to do is repeal Obamacare” Romney, those  voters want to repeal Obamacare. What’s that? Fifty seven percent of Romney state voters oppose repeal?

Yike. I feel your pain Buddy. But don’t worry- Governor Perry hates Obamacare. He’ll never desert you. What’s that?  Governor Perry now opposes repeal of Obamacare? He says instead we should just fix the parts that don’t work well?

Um that is what the Obama admin is doing.

“There’s no cowboy who can’t be thrown,” as we say in Texas. You’ve been riding the "repeal Obamacare" horse for some time. Maybe it’s time you saddled up a different steed? Or in your case, a donkey? LOL

Now liberals have set the bar so LOW as to whether or not Americans want it repealed or not. lol.

Quite the distance from Barry, Nancy Pelosi, Reid et al telling us we would LOVE it. We would LOVE it like Medicare, Social Security, etc etc etc Ummm...not so much huh?

Mari you are smart enough to know no law at 35% approval is going to last. Once the employer mandate kicks in I believe approval will drop into the mid to upper 20's.

Its doomed for failure. Its just a question of time at this point.

These are the same polls that said Mitt Romney will win by a landslide.    He only had a victory speech for that night.     He had to console weeping Ann and scribble a concession speech and made President Obama wait for 2 hours.

Mitt was so upset, he canceled all the credit cards of his campaign staff and sent home all the limos that were waiting to take them for an all night victory party.

Poor guys had to take cabs home.    Mitt himself was given a ride by his son as the Secret Service took away his limo and he was on his own.

So much for the polls.   Like it or not, we have a third major social legislation signed in to law by a Democrat President that is here to stay along with Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid.

They are all Ponzi schemes!!!!

Yup! That's why you are called  Dummycrappers!!! You're too fucking stupid to see how shitty your ideas are!

Bravo!

Had Obama and the Democrats actually sought even a modest amount of real compromise with the Republicans, enough that had garnered even a small number of Republican votes, the Republicans would now be willing to work at reforming the ACA instead of what we have now. And it would never have been labelled Obamacare.

This was how Social Security, Medicare and all other major socioeconomic reform laws had been passed previously.

I hate these arguments:

"Health care is a human right!"

Umm, no, it isn't?

"Well, what's YOUR solution to the problem?"

Umm, when did I agree with your statement that it was a problem?  Further, why is it that I am charged with the responsibility of proposing a "solution" to something which I do not identify as a problem?

See, in the world I grew up in, and in the civics textbooks that I read in school, there was no such thing as a "right to healthcare" mentioned.  Not in the Declaration, not in the Constitution, not in the Bill of Rights.

You know what else was not mentioned?  Any notion that the government had the power to compel me to have a healthcare plan, and to assess me with a tax or penalty if I did not voluntarily comply with this directive.

Amazing.  In Soviet America, I have to pay a tax now, just because I'm breathing....
