 DUH!!!

Oh, and the article also mentioned the site's cooperation with law enforcement in trafficking cases.  IOW, it's now going to make it harder for LE to go after the actual traffickers, they will have to learn new tactics, etc.

 What a fucking waste.
I was wondering about that. Backpage had actually done a pretty good job of cooperating with law enforcement on the bad stuff that none of us wants to see going on. Now, with that off it's all going to go underground and it's going to be harder to find.

Another website, requires a copy of your ID-
A selfie pic with you holding up a piece of paper with your name on it, and Acct Number-
Easy, Simple, Problem Solved.......

I have no issues with that at all!!

So why delete the entire section?
That sucked!!

Hopefully they can get all these sex traffickers out of the way, Damn Shame!!
So we can get back to advertising and BP comes back!!

Just My 2Cents.... :)

Unfortunately the people going after BP for the escort section are lacking in the sense department.

Sorry, but I just don't believe there is that much child trafficking in the twin cities. As long as I've been engaging in this hobby, I have never seen a lady that I thought was under aged. I can't imagine any sane man hooking up with an under aged girl. Can you imagine the embarrassment to your family let alone the prison time. I just can't believe that many men are that stupid!

Well, I suggest you google news stories on the matter.  While LE grossly exaggerates the level of human trafficking, it is not hard to find cases where people have trafficked underage girls and guys have been arrested specifically for that; i.e., they wanted to see girls who were underage.

However, driving the escort ads off of BP is a waste of time; it does nothing to shut down trafficking; it merely moves the ads someplace else.

I never said it doesn't happen, only that it's not as prevalent as they say. Have you ever seen a girl that you were sure was under age while hobbying? Not me and if I ever did I sure as hell wouldn't hire her. I would probably try and help her get out.

If I'm concerned about her age, I steer clear to begin with.
