Well if we compare countries like S. Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Phillipines and even India where they are finding every which way to help children excel in education, here we are with NRA suggesting that children should be taken to shooting range and be taught that killer instinct

Finally, although the US spends a considerable amount of money on education relative to Japan, much of the funds that are appropriated are used for things other than academics.  These include funds for transportation, food, athletics and custodians as well as money for programs such as D.A.R.E.  In fact, as much as 40% of US curricula is devoted to nonacademic subjects (Abbeduto 380).

In contrast, most Japanese students walk or ride their bikes to school  and many traditional Japanese schools even have students clean the school at the end of each day.   Furthermore, although students in Japan do participate in extra-curricular activities such as sports after school, most are only allowed to choose one club.  Additionally, most students who are considering college perceive such activities as a hindrance to their chances of passing the entrance exams that will pave the way to their success (Johnson 1996).

Fire arms training should be part of the economics curriculum.

Fire arms training should be part of the economics curriculum.
IMO "Fire arms training" would be more apropos under 'American studies' or 'Civics' classes. But either way it SHOULD be a mandatory part of the curriculum.

... and if you did so, you would be LESS inclined to nod towards the Orient.

You simply can't compare apples and machine parts, its as basic as that

from carrying his gun interstate or buying ammo while he is under indictment.  And he is famous for carrying. Yet there is no law against allowing a 9 year old girl to shoot an Uzi at a shooting range.

This is why all gun laws should be federal. Our current system where you are arrested for carrying an assault weapon in New York and hailed as a hero in Texas or Georgia is insane.

Instead of having 50 Second Amendment lawsuits every time a state passes a gun law, pass a uniform federal law and have it tested in the courts

How do you exactly explain your great points to illiterate rednecks?
