For Rush, maple syrup, and hockey, the greatest sport on the planet!

And bless England for Iron Maiden, bangers & mash, and Jennifer James!

I just started a new blog, as my friends here tell me all the time how they love my Brit sayings. The exception to this is when I am well oiled and my English at speed turns into a language they no longer understand.

For those of you that don't know, myself and Sophie Stephenson are shacked up together. We now drink tea in the mornings, tea in the afternoon, and tea at 4pm, then its gin & tonic time. Of course.

I'm interested to know what isms and institutions people love? From anywhere and everywhere.

God bless America for the institution of....... the boozy brunch. Any country that says its OK to have a cocktail with breakfast is one I am happy to live in ;-)

That picture above is so true :-)

I have lost count the amount of times i have had to say a sentence twice for an American to understand me and slow myself down whilst saying it.

Will be good to catch up when i see you in 2 weeks xx

Oh and i bring my own tea bags when i travel to the States :-

My ATF introduced us during a double, and I saw her subsequently many times.  She was stunningly beautiful, and her London colloquialisms were...the best term I can think of was charming.  We always spent at least twenty minutes talking before the fun began, and I always knew what she meant, but the terminology was so...different, yet cute.  I would see her in a heartbeat if that is ever possible again...

As far as afternoon tea goes...if you like green tea, we're on the same page.  As for G&T, that's T&T...the gin has to be Tanqueray.

he Rangpur lime flavor is HEAVENLY---the best gin for a G&T on the market IMHO. (Not so good for a classic martini but UNBEATABLE for a refreshing G&T--the greatest warm weather cocktail in the history of mankind!!

T&T on the water while in port with your boat anchored.  I always squeezed in a lime in the same manner you would with a Corona...

Now you all made me want a G&T! Bang goes my juice detox ;-)

The Rangpur is now firmly on my gin tasting list! Sounds amazing.

Bring an industrial sized box of tea please Shaunna, we get through it in this house like water.

A T&T diet sounds like an genius plan . Crushed ice, lime, bingo ! On a boat?! Stick a fork in me, I am done...

I do fancy your crumpet - bada boom! That's two corny attempts at humour in one thread, a record for me.

Seriously speaking, a lady who has her first G & T at 4:00 pm starts off as an 11+ in my book :)

but I do love a proper pint of 'bitters'.

Thank goodness we colonists finally started brewing "Craft Beers". The watery weasel piss sold for decades by Anheuser-Busch, Miller Brewing, Coors and others was/is absolute 'rubbish'. Guinness, Boddingtons, Newcastle, numerous red ales and various Black & Tan mixes are mothers milk to my palate.  Be you a 'mate' 'chap' or simply a 'bloke'; pull up a stool, order some 'chips' and lets get 'pissed'.

I always thought of it as like a glass of Sprite or 7-Up with a little "kick" to it LOL!!

Seriously---there's absolutely nothing better on a warm summer evening than a G&T---it will refresh and reinvigorate the soul!!
