I'm new to Manhattan from Florida. I used a website down there that was more local in usage. As I look for new friends up here, I'm a bit unsure of the best approach....TER, Date Check, 411....they all seem to be intertwined to a degree and I can't get any "momentum" in doing research. And from what I can tell, most women want several references. Can someone please provide me some guidance on how best to approach tapping into the talent here? I don't mind paying for a site....I just don't want to be paying for multiple sites. Thanks in advance!

I used to depend on TER as the only site where I paid for membership, though I have found that P411 is also very useful, since many more reviewed ladies advertise there than here. EROS and BP also have a large volume ads at any given time, but there's a lot of fluff on those sites which will complicate your research as opposed to the verification sites. There are also a few other sites that mostly concentrate on the local area market that are also helpful, which I will not name here in deference to TER rules.
Best of luck...the hobby is alive and well here, but springing for membership with one of the verification sites in addition to TER membership is the preferable way to go...
See if any of your friends from FL have TER Profiles. Depending on when you last saw them, maybe they can whitelist you here.
As for me, TER is essential for reviews and leads (based on recent reviews). I'm on D-C for additional contacts, leads and approvals. However, if someone is on D-C but not TER, I steer clear
Get VIP here on TER. Do a search on New Reviews to see who has been active recently. Also join P411, get verified by them. Look for girls who are newbie friendly. In Manhattan there are a quite a few. Start slow, read reviews, don't go for the ultra careful gals until you have a few references under your belt. Establish a reputation as a good little hobbyist and eventually you will be able to date pretty much anyone you want as long as you have the cash and the time. The more well known gals tend to ask for more strict screening, which is OK, you have to realize that with notoriety comes a bit of caution. Getting white listed and/or marked as OK on p411 from your Florida friends, as another poster said, is also a good idea.
