Then why do red states gerrymandered the districts to win (have you seen the map of how Florida is shaped) maybe so they can control part of the Congress?. Even though Republicans lost in the popular vote. Then there's old angry white republicans who get out during midterms more then Dems and Indies, so I'll give it to them, I wish the Dems and Indies had the enthusiasm to come out but they don't, and that's sad. And I won't go into voter suppression,...don't you ever wonder why the red states are playing games with shaping of districts and voting, why the effort and please don't say Voter fraud

This campaign ad from Wendy Davis running for Governor of Texas shows how tragic the politician / corporations tie up can be for women.    The same thing that states like Texas are doing when it comes to a woman's right to an abortion.

Why not leave the choice to the woman, her husband, her parents, her in laws?   Who the f**k is a Republican Governor to tell all of these above people, HE IS THE ONE WHO DECIDES for them!

What kind of women will go to the polling booth and vote for a Republican?

FWIW I firmly support a woman's right to choose, but once again even when I agree with you, I can't help but notice just how fucking stupid you are.

The "HE" that you are talking about is actually a "SHE"

You just get dumber by the day.

That's the bad news. The good news is that not many people voted for him last time and he hasn't gotten any less slimy since then, so I am not TOO worried about him getting too far.

amongst the world class idiots with an IQ of 22. Exact match.

Go read some children’s book at comprehension level ass hole.

I am not asking you to read my posts!     Go and read something else!    Nutjob!

so you are perfectly welcome to simply piss off.

When you make a post on a public board, you are going to get responses, and guess what? Some of us are going to call you out for the moron that you are. If you don't like it, tough shit.

As if the Republicans would be at war with half the voters in the country... How on Earth do ya suppose they win so damn many elections when all they care about is 1% of the population? If what you have made yourself to belief were to be true, how would that be even remotely possible? Is it because your message is not getting out? People just don't know about how Republicans hate women, and blacks, and the poor, and the gays and the Mexicans despite these accusations constantly being shoved down our throats by the "news" media, pop culture, academia, and Web sites, etc...

to dilute women, and blacks, and the poor, and the gays and the Mexican voters to minima. Second reason voter ID laws and third reason is by making it harder and harder for them to vote. Fourth reason there are plenty low IQ voters who doesn’t understand a damn thing and drink the talking point Kool Aid from the likes of Fox News.

Gagger Bagger is a prime example of a lowest IQ BSC Republican.

are too stupid, too lazy, or just plain not qualified  to get one.

DemmyCrap are the party of the Stupid.

And now Repubs what to change it...why? Voter fraud, really??? The proposed changes like the state of Ohio, less voting booths? Other states, no voting on Sunday? Student ID's no longer accepted in some states? On a level playin field, Repubs are slowly losing and will lose the battle.
Come on weenie...you're smarter then that or maybe not, because after all...you're just a weenie....lol
And something to ponder is Georgia about student ID's and voting.
Morehouse St, a liberal black male college- Student ID, you can't vote
Georgia St- A state college, a student ID and you can vote
Humm what does that say?? Black = Democrat therefore suppress their vote....nah, no way...right?

As if they did. As if the Dems didn't do everything they can to gerrymander districts. As if the Dems were above any form of cheating from gerrymandering to voter fraud.

You really don't think much of women, and blacks, and the poor, and the gays and the Mexicans if you think requiring an everyday ID card, which is required to function in society, is all it takes to suppress their vote. Do you really think they're that easy to suppress?

Your second reason is the same as the first.

Your fourth reason is actually your second. And what is this big lie they are hearing from Fox News. Can you name even one? What is the biggest one of all?

Don't know who in the hell you're talking about but from the name your calling him he sounds like a real creep!

Both sides use it where they get the chance. The rules are set by state law or state constitution. Republicans control more state governments so it just may seem for the moment that Republicans use gerrymandering more.

I'm from LA, I just don't want my district tied to someone 50 miles away or by some demographics shit...get it?

Here's District 17:

Shit why are there even 6 repub here??? Dems should have wipe them out. But look how screwy this looks....now check out Florida. That'll make your head spin.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illinois's_congressional_districts#

If you're ever here I'll be happy to show you around.

At least I accomplished my goal of pointing out that everybody does it.

But to address your recent question. When one side creates a "safe" district it creates a big pile of voters dedicated to the opposition side. No state is actually blue or red. Heck Illinois is only about 60% blue and  40% red. The urban areas are about 70% to 80% blue while the rural areas are just the opposite. Florida is the same (urban vs. rural) except the total breakdown is about 50-50 (remember 2000?)

So creating safe districts for your own party will also create some for your opponents. It's all a stupid game about keeping certain people in power, not the party. These examples are some of the best reasons for a Constitutional Amendment for term limits.

BTW, the republicans here in Illinois haven't been too bad in capturing the governor's office, all things considered. That said, of the last 7 governors 4 have been republican and 5 have ended up in prison. Not that it matters too much but 3 of the felons were democrats and 1 was a republican.

The republicans may not be any better at gerrymandering but they seem to be better at not getting caught. Actually one of the republicans was a pretty good guy.
