I agree with Clair, what does a person skin color have to do with anything?
So providers that do this are fools!
It's good and bad apples, in all races of people.

When I saw that Amber Garrido had a visiting ad on the NY Board, I noticed that her ad did not contain a note one of her previous ads contained namely "No AA or AA-mixed please".
I first noticed Amber last year. We had a good initial conversation and discussed possible times that might work. Then, I sent her my p411 ID for  verification and never heard back from her again. As I could not think of anything particularly offensive in my p411 profile, I began to look into it and noticed that there was slight difference between her visiting ad and her home ad in Texas. The ad in Texas had that line at the bottom indicating that she did not date black guys. Had she included that in her visiting ad, I would obviously have not bothered to contact her.
None of her recent ads have that language. I suspect it's not so much because she's changed her policy as it is that she's being more politically correct.
I really wish the hobby were one place we could do away with political correctness. I have absolutely no problem with a provider who chooses not to date guys based on age, race, height or any other characteristic that's relevant to her. No one should have to do anything that makes them uncomfortable. Where it becomes an issue is when a provider has an unstated policy, or a policy that's only stated in certain settings. I guess she felt more comfortable stating in TX that she doesn't date black guys than she does saying so in NYC or Boston. But, if that's really the way you feel, I think you owe it to be upfront with guys everywhere.
Can we all just be more upfront about what we will and will not do so as not to waste other people's time?

You asked "Why?", why what?
You asked "because you were upfront?" upfront about what?

I'm just asking that a provider tell me upfront which customers she will not see so we don't waste each other's time. What part of that do you disagree with?
If you're going to make me guess about whether I fit your acceptable client base based on things I can't change about myself, why not make me guess how much your donation is as long as you're at it?

What race she is willing to entertain (for whatever reason)

Then you should be upfront about what race you are

I didn't know you were black (LOL) and you contacted me several times

Just sayin,  LOL

So, my opening email to every provider should start with "Hi, I'm black."
The vast majority of providers I've come across don't care. So, the onus should be on the ones who do care to state this clearly. Let's say some providers don't want to see bald guys. I'm not; but assuming I were should I open each new email to a provider with "Hi, I'm bald." How crazy is that?
Think about this, why did you assume I wasn't black?

Thats a really hot opening line baby

Try it!!  you crack me up!!

and I luvs you too big boy
