According to a recent news report a young woman recently found murdered in Providence may have been a provider advertising on backpage.
Interesting. I posted an link to the coverage of the murder and imploring the providers to be diligent in screening and now it has been removed.

The newly elected Providence Mayor, Police & others are promising a continuing crackdown.

Absolutely! I've made the mistake of (years ago) of seeing ladies who pretty much saw anyone (some claimed to be "selective" - HA! only to regret it. Providers who verify and thoroughly screen are typically better all around!
I think it is reasonable to say extra care is necessary especially in an incall situation.
I would expect LE more likely to have sting to incall location for logistical reasons.
Generally outcall is safer for all
Police sting would be incall if they pose as a lady and advertise seeking to arrest men.
Police would be calling women for outcall if they seek to arrest women.
Police could do both ways from the same hotel room if they pleased.
Bottom line: screen carefully to be safe.
In the article about arrests the women are abused, addicts, trapped, on the edge of survival,,,ect. The kind of shit the EndDemand posts all the time.
In the article about murder the woman was a loving, caring, "working mom" earning extra money for her children. I wonder what would have been said about her if she had been arrested in a police sting instead of murdered?
The EndDemand people are only causing the industry to hide itself deeper and deeper, offering more hidden methods for traffickers to use. There are plenty of intelligent resourceful people creating new websites to work around the ever changing police tactics. Traffickers simply follow in the shadows that grow deeper and deeper.
About a month ago there were a couple different stings run in ME one in Lewiston/Auburn and one in Portland. Both used ads of real providers from Backpage which I'm assuming they busted before and continued using their ads. Some of the girls had reviews from TER. There was some discussion on this board about it at time with some more details as one of the hobbyist caught was posting his experience and asking advise. Stay safe and be careful!!!!
