Provided the lady you want to see requires references...yes.  You could also sign up with one of the prescreening services (Preferred411, DateCheck, RoomService2000) as having an account with one can sometimes be used in lieu of references.  I signed up with P411.  Sure, it costs $60/year, but that's a small price to pay considering it can help grease the wheels of the whole screening process.

Why don't you just write 20 reviews?  Then it's easy to see whoever you want.

If you are patient, the lady you do prefer will probably understand and screen you with basic information - let her know you are new.  There is no need to settle for someone you really do not want to see....

I don't think anyone intended to give the impression to see someone you do not want to. Ladies and requirements are varied all across the board, even those with strict requirements may accept othe info. in lieu of references, which is basically what services such as Datecheck and Preferred 411 do for you.

The big thing is though to make sure the lady you do see follws through on verifying and White Listing you.

Then someday you will have a White List like mine and 15 verifcataions on Date-Check, too,  so no matter where you travel, you will never have problems passing verification.

the girl you wanted to see was the girl who would see you.

No websites, no email, no cell phones; just a three line personal add and a phone number.   You had to call about twenty numbers to find one person in.  Screening was by them calling you back at the number you called from.  The two call system was always used.

It was 50/50 when you saw her that you'd ever want to go back again and even if you did, it was 50/50 that the number would even work a few weeks later.
