Used to spend many a weekend at the sex clubs in New Orleans. Crowd was always a mixed bag but I actually met some very sexy people there (including guys and gals not much older than me) with whom I had quite a few fun nights. [*Cue dreamy upward gaze and nostalgic/flashback music.]

I have not been to any of the clubs here but am definitely curious to explore them sometime. If anyone has any other recommendations for clubs and/or parties, let me know :).

Has anyone have experience of going to the trapeze club in Manhattan? What were the couples like, what did folks wear, any bad experiences or tips to make the visit more satisfying?

See my recent review  with Amanda Manhattan...

I was thinking Bowery Bliss because the are open Tuesday night (other clubs I  have researched aren't open that night) but as a frequent "unicorn" (aka single girl)  at the swing clubs in Vegas I would love to see what the East Coast has to offer!!

I would definitely recommend Checkmate over Trapeze, which is dated and depressing. Checkmate has a fun, flirty decor and just a nicer atmosphere overall.

The people quotient is hard to predict, though-- and that really goes for swing clubs everywhere.

Haven't gotten to Bowery Bliss yet, but I'm hoping to get there on my visit to NY next month!

Have fun!
