I'm actually exchanging messages with 6 POT SBs right now. They are all newbs though, and not sure if they can go through with it and make the leap into paid intimacy. So I don't know if any conversions will result. But they are certainly more active and in need of cash this time of year.
Got hit up by three new SB's this past weekend while I was out of town. Have been in communication with all three, but more extensively with 2 of them who look pretty hot in their private pics, which they volunteered without my asking! How often does that happen. Got set for a tentative meet for tomorrow with #1 when she wanted to know about my prior SB experiences. Gave the generic "we had a very successful arrangement......etc" Eventually got around to the allowance and wanted to know how much my last SB received. This may have been a mistake, but finally got around to giving her a figure, to which she said "and was there more for intimacy?" She was asking for 700 per meet and extra for an overnight. I politely informed her I was giving half that for overnights, and you can imagine the response. Wished her well and have a Merry Christmas. The second SB, trying to figure a time to coordinate schedule for initial meet. The third, don't have as much interest in. The way I see it, it's all good as long as both sides are in the spirit of giving.

Quite a few of the none-pro or none quasi-pros past cuties are inactive/deactivated whether because of having already found a serious SD or just sitting out this time period. But like GaGa had already chimed down below, let's not hate on the player so naught is wrong with SBs trying to milk a few extra $$$ before Christmas.
If you've been in (or were in) the Los Angeles area 10-12 years ago you might have been a fan of a radio host named Tom Leykis. His "schtick" was to get hot, young babes to bang you for free - and specifically not be in a traditional romantic relationship. The total antithesis of a SD.
But within all his rules for getting laid on the cheap were a few useful ideas that can apply to the sugar world. One of them was never be available around the holidays. Holidays set an expectation of additional special treatment like dinners, presents, etc., typically without a quid pro quo return effort. So agreeing to meet any SB's from your B list or off your main rotation could be expensive and unsatisfying. Also, negotiating with a new POT SB (as I have been this morning), must be done skillfully to avoid setting an expectation that every month will payoff like Christmas.
Note: As I'm typing this I got a text from my main SB (the car loan one) about our meet tomorrow: "Can we see the movie at 7 or 8? That we we have time to go shopping? Oh yeah Babe! Let's go shopping tomorrow?" Trust me, fellow SD's, she ain't talking about groceries!

And I'm very familiar with Tom Leykis and his manosphere themed shows. He also advocated to never answer one's phone as a high value and in demand kind of a man during the weekend.
Tom had some very good cliff notes which later on a lot of these PUA started to borrow and hone according to their own teachings. With all that said, I really think that past 40-45 to implement a lot of that stuff in one's tool set leads to dry spells or worse, backfires. I have adjusted to the notion that if you want to play with yougins and you are a man over your mid 40s (barring being someone really famous), you'd be much better off to pay for it as long as you call the shots.
The essence of Tom's argument is totally spot on vis a vis the Holidays and the C-Day proximity. I may be losing out on some good p*ssy by staying on the sidelines of SA, but I am willing to live with that because I don't see the upside. If I really wanted to play, I'd rather do hookers this time of year 
Yeah, I think I mentioned a few months ago that I was taking the holidays off for that very reason. However, I got real lucky as I found the unicorn at the end of my subscription. I got hit up for a xmas gift but it was not that expensive and given the dollars associated with our arrangement, it was worth every penny.

Fair enough. Given that tomorrow's meet with my main SB will be BCD #5 of 9 to pay off the car loan (and so no additional cash expected), I don't mind dropping 100-200 on some gifts to make her happy.
