and how is this private detective going to do that if he can't unlock my cell phone?

That by setting my cell phone to lock after 2 or 3 minutes of non use that even LE can't get into it without knowing my code? I never use my phone when I am driving and will pull over and park even to answer a text message or called back to a phone call.

Not this one, if you are still using it.

Nope lol I still use the tin can and wire model :)

But check and make sure that the phone does default to locked mode.  Sometimes the settings prevent that.

More to the point:  Courts have recently ruled that LE can not take info from your phone without a warrant.

Yes, I have been folowing that case. I have mine set to lock after 2 minutes of non use.  I doubt that the the super hacker is going to bother with me for a LE bust of visiting a provider.

The case was about a phone they were having trouble with opening.  It does not mean that they cannot open others.  I do believe there is supposed to be a court order.

Not a lawyer nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

However, that would not preclude some private detective to NOT break the law and nose around in your personal information.
