I second that! Hear ye hear y

Thankfully, judicial nominees don't need to go through the House, otherwise no one would be confirmed....In any event, there have been about 50 confirmations thus far this year, and its significant as while Obama may leave office in Jan 2017, his judicial nominees can be on the court for the next 30-40 years....

I do expect the 4th Circuit nominee, Pamela Harris, to have a contentious hearing this week....She is definitely a liberal, so I'm sure the GOP on the Judiciary Committee are going to grill her...

...them remain vacant for the next 2 1/2 years rather than have Obama appoint federal judges.  Justice delayed is justice denied but do you think Republicans care about justice?

Most of the vacancies are in red states with 2 GOP senators...So that means they are not fowarding names to Obama for recommendation....And Chairman Leahy does NOT move foward with any nomination unless the blue slips are signed by both of the nominee's 2 home state senators...There is no set rule that says blue slips need to be returned, Leahy is just doing it as a courtsey...When Senator Orrin Hatch was Chairman of the Judiciary Commitee when Bush was president (Democrats didn't take control of senate til 2007), he often moved foward with a nomination REGARDLESS if the blue slips were returned....

...judges is an important one but it really only applies if the senator is of the same party as the President.  If the President doesn't follow the recommendation, it is considered a grave insult to the senator.

If these red state GOP senators had any brains, they would send their conservative nominations to Obama and when they are inevitably rejected they could scream: "See, Obama isn't cooperating with us!"

Obama nominate a couple more Supreme Court Justices.  We can't afford another Scalia, Alito, or Thomas should a Republican be elected President.

Which Euro-nirvana model would you like to mimic

I think I would like A justice that doesn't think a corporation is a person, doesn't equate money to free speech and not in the back pocket of the corporatists.

of my personal property have not been stolen by political hacks.

I also like justices that understand their job is to apply the black and white ink  of our founding documents rather than think they were just  written in pencil.
