I would have to say if you stick with well known and reviewed Indies, you should be ok.

Hi everyone. I found this site a month or two ago, prompted by going to a strip club and getting a provider to offer. It was pretty dull, although it was a surprise since she never came out and said it was going to be FS. But I digress...

In the research here I've picked out a few pretty good potentials in my area and they're very well reviewed so I think I'd be ok. But I want to be prepared for any contingency.

Has anyone here been arrested before for engaging in the hobby? How'd it turn out? Any advice? I'd really hate to get pinched and pretty much ruin my chances of ever getting another job again in case I ever need to leave my current one. :(

in the case of AMPs, they'll often let the guys slide in exchange for at the scene testimony against the lady.

with streetwalkers, if a guy is stupid enough to get his trim that way, he can look forward to having his ass on TV and his car confiscated.

with incalls,  stay away from indies until you're seasoned.  stay with established agencies and use their incall, you should be okay (no promises  8-x )

outcalls are fairly low-risk, just stay your ass OFF craigslist.

summarily, solicitation is a misdemeanor.  misd's are thereafter easily expunged (hidden from civvy/employment-level inquiries) upon resolution.  Also keep in mind, a separate motion to "seal" the records may also be desireable if expungement alone doesn't cover this (YMMV with locale).

finally, prior to seeking employment, you'll want to pay a seasoned private investigator such as "proudfoot" to go out and find dirt on you by searching the numerous private database companies out there and clean up the remaining residue.  do NOT search for a job or apply for insurance during the period prior to expungement.

What he said would be my advice as well. CL is quick and easy, and LE knows it also. I would highly recommend staying away until you're well seasoned, even alot of vetrans won't touch it. As you get to know it, in your city, you'll be able to spot trouble, as well as paradise.

Aha, that's what I was looking for, realizing that even worst-case-scenario all is not lost. I guess it's going to boil down to me researching my state and county laws and other nonsense regarding victimless crimes. (or is this a post for the Politics board? :P

I'm excited to take the plunge, though. All work and no play has made me very dull indeed. :)

Why would an incall to an indy be a problem, guess it depends on what area you are in. I would think an agency incall would be much more risky with the traffic flow of hobbyists being much higher.

Outcall to your hotel with a well-reviewed independent is about as safe as it gets.

Research some more.  Learn the lingo, learn the rules, ask questions, get VIP and read, read, read the details of reviews and learn as much as you can.  

Search your local boards and see what providers are active in the TER community as well as post ads on the boards.

Learn before you dive in.  That is the best advice anyone can give you.

The other piece of advice is be smart, pay attention and walk away if you a feeling you should.  Being horny is no excuse to get arrested.  

Think of it this way:  If you walk away you will not get laid and that sucks blue balls, but if you get busted, not only will you not get laid, you could lose your job and not have money to get laid for a very, very long time...which is worse?

If somehting feels hinky, it is better to walk away with a polite phone call to the lady explaining why than to risk LE trouble.  The lady will also appreciate you advising her of a potential jackpot as well.
