Yeah- I hear you! I almost didn't sign up because I hate the concept if insurance. I feel like it's corporations taking advantage, and I'm blessed to not need the doctor other than my regular check-ups. And I thought the fines would cost less than the insurance, which they do. However, when I started playing around with the web system, I realized that I was eligible for a sizeable discount! So I went ahead and signed up, getting dental in the deal. I'm sure next year will cost more, but at least I am insured this year. Lol!

I also will never vote for democrat or republican again. I will always vote green, come what may. F*ck the dems and the 'pubs. They might as well be the same party as far as I'm concerned. Corporate lackeys- all of 'em.

I agree with Marianne Williamson, that as a generation that we have allowed ourselves to be played.  I do think we would have made better decisions if we had known the truth and not heard so much propaganda and conspiracy theories...

Not even sure if there is anything that can be done about it at this point.  We have a president that should be impeached, but the former also deserved impeachment and I am not even sure he was elected by us.

As a nation we are divided, a Republican party divided, a world divided.  Everybody feels that something nefarious happening in this shift, and many of us are trying to tilt the tide and just plain curious how we let this happen?

The Gnarly Psychology of War
http://www.marianneforcongress.com/the_gnarly_psychology_of_unnecessary_war

God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.

I will always hold the highest respect for our brave soldiers that went against horrific, hateful human beings that have done things that I don't even want to entertain in my thoughts..

Always and forever, RESPECT FOR THE WARRIOR NOT THE WAR

and those that want individual liberty.

with the so-called "moderates" either caught in the middle lights a deer in the headlights or those who want to milk the status quo.

That does a good job of summing up a one sided view of the past decades. . . .

But as a one sided view normally does, it totally ignores its own culpability in matters. For example, it makes no mention of Obama’s role in the Iraq; no mention of what happened in the past 5-1/2 years and how it contributed to the present situation. At best, Obama’s actions, in an effort start the pendulum swinging back to the less militarized stance, did nothing to stop this from happening. At worst it caused it to happen.

It seems odd but a closer look at the far left (my partisanship showing I guess) viewpoint of the established Democrat party and the Tea Party movement’s view of the established GOP, shows they share a common goal, to release us from the stranglehold of federal government power. Our eventual policies may be at odds but we presently share a common opponent, the status quo.

Changing the channel from war to Wall Street, why haven’t any real changes been made since “the Collapse”? Why hasn’t anyone gone to jail? The established GOP is too tightly intertwined with the Wall Street power and then they convince themselves that the process of repairing it would be too devastating to the economy.  The Democrats (while just as tightly intertwined if not more so with Wall Street Power) is afraid to go down any path that works toward restoring the public’s confidence in free enterprise. Doing so would work against their desire to make people more and more dependent on the federal government for perceived security (case in point – Dodd-Frank). So as a result, neither established party wants to make substantive changes to the system. The Tea Party movement does though and so does for example, Occupy Wall Street except one wants to fix it while the other wants to destroy it.

A common mistake is that the Tea Party movement gets labeled as far right (not a mistake by some since their goal is to destroy it). There is a large moderate conservative community that agrees with most of the Tea Party movement; just as there is a large moderate liberal community that feels unable to change the status quo of their established side. The two should find a way to work together. Maybe some State initiated Constitutional amendments are in order

And with most of the country still fighting over red and blue stuff, the criminals are getting away with taking our planet further down a destructive path for their own profit. Kinda reminds me of a rugby game: a bunch of guys get tangled up in the scrum and most don't even notice when the ball pops out and someone's running half way down the field with it!

People need to realize that this ceased being a right or left, red or blue issue long ago. When people can clearly look through a nonaligned lens at what's going on, they'll realize that criminals have been in charge for a while. And their only alignment is with profit from death and destruction. Now look at our warpath: Russia, Iraq again, Africa (35 different countries!)... More profit for them, more death and destruction for the rest of us.

I say "most" have because I feel I've been on the right side if the facts for all if the war stuff. I was played, however, in voting for Obama in 08 because I believed in "change". Turns out he's worse than his predecessor. I admit I drank the kool aid. :( But it didn't take me long to realize what a terrible mistake I'd made.

Are written to protect the big criminals, from the little criminals...

That's what we call law in this country.

They sure are! People bitch and moan about the poor taking advantage of the system, but fail to see the big picture: the US literally spends nearly double on corporate welfare (100 billion) vs social welfare (59.3 billion). And that doesn't include the more than a trillion dollars in tax breaks and the multi trillions in bailout programs since 2008.

I feel the same way, but I will never vote for a Republican again.  They would have to change their whole party platform.

My mistake, listening to too many conservatives trash talk Obamacare that I didn't get in on it during the first open enrollment.  Now I have to wait until Nov, the next open enrollment, because of a pre-existing condition and to get my subsidy that I qualify for.  I have a loved one in excruiating pain that works in a wheelchair because he can't stand the thought and depression of being disabled at home.  :(

Take care sweet Sarah
