How do you see it as perjury?

don't many conservatives of the law and order crowd feel EXACTLY that way?

Perps are ALWAYS guilty and cops NEVER lie, do I have to teach you everything? (intentionally omitting the "lol" just for you)

Of course I filed the postponement ..(Will be out of the  state)

My question is -

If service day is just one day - may I be asked to serve MORE then one day ( what if trial will take more then one day .. is that possible?? All Jurors require stay through all trial ? Or if it says - one day it would be ONE only day?

Just need to schedule all ..

Thanks

Do Not want pay fine of 1000 .. yet better be over .. and then how often they do invite? Of course did file the postponement  on max allowed time  6 month.. yet .. yet...

How many of you do that and how many times I can file postponement? First time it was easy ..
Any of you ever enjoyed the jury ?
Share your experiences .. I want to know  what to expect

...to sit as a juror in a trial.  Then you have to serve on the jury for the entire trial, no matter how long it takes.  Believe me, you will NOT be chosen as a juror.

In most jurisdictions, non-citizens are not allowed to serve as jurors.  Before you received the jury summons, you should have completed an eligibility questionnaire.  If you're not a citizen, you should have put that on the questionnaire.

If the defense attorney asks if you can be  objective and unbiased toward his client tell him " if your client wasn't guilty they wouldn't have arrested him'"

...advising her to lie in court in order to get out of her patriotic duty to be a juror of her peers.  What a great American you are!

do you think I am not citizen?
I am am even Federal worker. As one I cleaned for Federal Jobs- Ask Fisher about that.
He saw my badge:) Now just waiting if I be called for service again:)
And Thank you any way for explanation - I never was invited before for Jury Duty

But all the rest is true.

You go right ahead and serve on that jury. I think you will find it interesting.

By the way, only a small percentage of potential jurors get empaneled

always interrapt my federal duties ....:) Men love me too much so far.
And I always choose fun over work:)

read all the instructions that come with the notice, or call the phone number for information that they should have

Yet I was able to serve one day as they stated it but bec of travels scheduled I was worry to be involved for more then a day so I asked Here
Seems it is a possibility I just filed postponement for February month I latest it was possible
For first time it is easy to do, and second time?
If I be busy in Feb or out some place how easy get postponement second time? Can t believe fine can be 1000! So interesting in states about jurisdiction system.
It is quite different under the Civil law system used in most countries
Which states are here on Civil Law system! Just few? Not many? Louisiana
New Orleans ? Or I am Mistaken? Will go check online now; How many more states do not have this Jury duty? Or all of states? I think it is just under common law system? Some one can post on differences of those two and what you personal love more? Common or civil? I hope I not typed here something totally out of the range... Need refresh my knowledge of those two systems in states   ah I actually know more the one stat is it and CA too? And TX?

...you stated) in order to get out of jury duty.  Encouraging or persuading someone to lie under oath is suborning perjury.

(I didn't need the lol - it was funny)

I have been called for jury duty something like ten times, and have never had to serve more than one day. I have yet to be on an actual trial jury. They call many more people than they need.

I will be in country.
BUT - if I am a dual citizen - can THAT be as no go?
I do not have any desire to seat there .
Thank you to sharing your experience .

You are eligible on that criterion. Having another citizenship doesn't cancel that out.
