Maybe I'm missing something. But it takes 2 days for my post to make it on screen. Why?
It simply means your posts are being moderated. Once you have proven to the moderator of your board that you post within the TER guidelines, you will probably be removed from moderation and your posts show up right away. The best way, is to continue to post on a regular basis so your name gets to be known by the board and the moderator.
Also, it may take a while for your posts to show up depending on how many posts the mod needs to go through before getting to yours. The Mods are not paid, and I am sure have personal and professional lives as well, so they may have things that come up that prevents them from logging in for a day or so.
Keep having fun, and you will become unmoderated in no time.

1) Everyone is initially moderated, meaning that the board mod has to approve each and every post.
2) Your moderated status applies to all of TER, not to each board. If you are moderated on the LA board, you are moderated on all boards.
3) The mod of board on which you post can change you to moderated status at any time. Some mods will moderate TER members for not so minor infractions of the rules.
4) The best way to gain un-moderated status is to be an active contributor to one of the regional boards, where most of the conversation occurs.
5) As a rule, the mods of the national boards, such as the newbie board, do not un-moderate someone. However, having just approved the 20th post of someone on the newbie board, I consulted the mod of his/her regional board, where he/she also posts. "Any objections if I un-moderate ***********?" The answer was nope, and the party in question is no longer moderated.
I approved this message the very first time I saw it, about 2 minutes before haya1300's reply.
I have no idea why it took 25 hours for your post to reach my approval queue. This isn't the first time this has happened, and it has been reported to the powers that be.
I'm not there yet, but I am on a crusade (LOL). My local mod is out of town, and I want to buy moderated insurance.

And even if he is, it is not the role of the mods of the natioanl boards to watch his back. LOL!!!
that IS unusual... but highly likely the post did not get queued to the mod for some reason - a system fart so to speak. Lately, even regular posts from unmoderated members seem to take a long time to get entered... am sure staff are looking into this.
All newbies are treated equally unfairly and moderated to start out with... eventually, you will be able to post freely, get your wings and occasionally be shot down by a poed moddy and placed on moderation until you have kissed enough ass to be trusted again.
No biggie really... shit happens... being moderated is a right of passage on TER... enjoy the trip.
After more then 2 years around here, I finally got my first unmoderated post on the LA board about 10 min ago. Yea!
to check into that.... does not sound right at all.
