I have noticed a large increase in recent days of reports of stings, robs, RAPE, & NCNS. Needless to say I am deeply concerned for myself & others & IMO we all need to be on high alert for the time being.
I'm not suggesting this be a permanent intervention. Lord knows one of the most exciting things about engaging in this glorious hobby is the spicy variety of people we get to meet & play with. I think however there are times when we need to put the desire for variety on hold to keep ourselves & one another safe. I personally have been substantially more cautious. To the point where at times throughout this summer I have been rubbing two pennies together as I reject requests from gents who have refrained from providing me the necessary information I need to feel safe in seeing them. Not that I blame them & I'm sure I have missed out on the company of some wonderful people. Bottom line however, I have remained safe & no amount of money is worth compromising that. Thoughts please? Beyond that, random chance governs a lot of things and just by that alone sometimes there will be more bad incidents of all kinds and sometimes there will be less.
Precisely! Also, summer always slows down. People get desperate. I we think this is bad, wait until the holiday season hits. Shine up those coats of armor folks!
