How do you get un-moderated?  Does it take a certain amount of time?

Why do some posters get put up quickly while my comments take many hours or even days to appear? Some posters like jeopcon1, LNQRbigdaddy, LexLuethor and Guz seem to use this board like an instant message system. I can't spend all day on this board but when I check for my own comments which I think reflect thought out responses it takes so long before they appear that they often are on the next page. Quantity is not always quality! I'm not trying to put anyone down but would like to see equal treatment for all posters.

These boys have been given unmoderated status so their messages go in without review.  It has been getting a little crazy lately with the bandering back and forth.

posters need to make sure that they are always obeying the rules.  If the rules are broken whilst in moderated status, I am inclined to not unmoderate.

One of the rules that I find is most broken by moderated posters is the 7 day ad rule.

I don't spend all day here either, I leave for a couple of hrs and come back and see the "boyz" reekin havoc like 2yr olds. I think I might have  too more often cause it seems like the inmates are coming out more and the asylum isn't keeping track of theirs either IE  jeopcon1 & ponzone to name a few.

Sheesh I just sit back and try to mind my own business, and once again I see my name being mentioned in vain.  Guz, it looks like you should have seen Sofia the last time she was in town.  You sound a bit stressed.  From your comments one would think that YOU are being moderated.  If so, it sure doesn't look like it is taking very long for your posts to get up.

You NoVa's wouldn't have any problem if you would quit "bad mouthin'" me, Maryland or Baltimore.  Funny how you don't mention one of your own, bigdaddy, who loves to engage in that banter.  If you want to dish it out, just be prepared to get it back.

Looks like you need to chill.  This is all about humor, anyway.  If you start to take this bullshit seriously, you'll develop some kind of a complex.  All we're trying to do is add some humor to what is otherwise often a very dull (or worse) world.

If you have a real problem with me, I suggest you take it to pm (where it belongs) and we'll deal with it.

...in somebody else's post -- it makes me feel important!

Has anyone figured out how to get TER-coolness to manifest itself in your daily life? It seems like everytime I leave TER and go back to the real world I'm still a loser.

isn't it a *good* thing that certain of our hobbyist brethren have demonstrated themselves sufficiently mindful of the rules that they don't need supervision?

When jeop or the other frequent posters post, they're generally providing valuable information for the rest of us.  Yeah, sometimes it's meaningless banter, but most of the posts contain at least some useful information.

Leaving these guys unmoderated means (1) their information gets to us more quickly, and (2) the moderator can devote more time to reviewing other people's posts.

Seems to me that "unmoderating" the frequent fliers helps us all out.

Agreed. If you don't like a thread, don't join in. These guys are not breaking any rules and they usually provide valuable information to other people.

BTW; The board has not changed but the people has and so has there tastes.
