How about if someone has been vetted by P411 and has say 10 okays and 10 reviews on TER but maybe hasn't had a recent okay in say 6 months?  I would think those okays should still count, wouldn't they?

I don't visit providers very often, I might treat myself every once in a great while or if I see an advert that for some reason catches my eye, but it's probably no more that 2-3 times a year, if that, on average.

So when I get asked for references, sometimes the provider in question saw me up to a year ago, or maybe even longer. Part of me thinks that's not a problem, because if I saw her then I saw her, but I sometimes feel like I'm asking a bit much of ladies to provide a reference if it's been that long.  

I'm lucky in that there is something about me that is distinctive and easy to remember (hopefully in a good way!) but do providers get irritated being asked for a reference when I last saw them over a year ago?

Just curious. I might be needing a couple of references... It's that time of year again :)

But, they probably won't provide a reference if you have not seen them within the last year...for some 6 months is the cut off.  A lot can happen in 6 months or a year.

I've been having that problem the last couple days, do Minnesota clients not go through screening or are the ones contacting me just not wanting to be screened? Lol ..... It's like pulling teeth... I'm easy breezy & willing to work with them but come on, if you've been in the hobby only haven seen one provider you should know the procedure of screening & verification...

You've got to be joking?  It's like me asking you(the provider to show me your drivers license and take note of your home address).  It's just pussy, are you willing to screw up your income stream over it??  Might as well post an ad in the startribune for pussy for cash

I'm always amazed when I get the standard reply from the massage-girl schedulers and if I haven't already been verified they want Facebook or LinkedIn info with the promise they won't keep it.  Does anyone really believe this and fall for it???  I can only imagine the spreadsheets of info they keep.  So if I don't have refs....  you want to see all my professional contacts, current and former employers, and my customers on Linked In, or you want to see all my family and friends on Facebook?  Really???  Nothing seems like more of a set up for blackmail or other very bad things to happen.  Hell.... not just blackmail....  write a bad review?  Have a bad session?  Fallout between schedulers and their assistants?  Perhaps an LE bust....  the list goes on.  And to those guys who believe none of your information is retained.....  I have some property for sale.

A client just pulled a gun out on one of my friends a few weeks ago.
so yes my safety comes 1ST!!!!!!!!!!

if you do not agree with it, that is fine,
there are plenty of providers out here that screen differently

I have never blackmailed ANYONE and never would....

Its not for everyone but most of the clients that have seen me
have no problem with it At All....

References alone do not prove shit, esp if you are LE!!!!!!!

First, let me state that I do not blame you. However, just because you see an FB or LI profile (or both), doesn't mean you're not dealing with LE. LE can lie. It's allowed when dealing with "criminals". They can entrap, have fake IDs, and deny they are LE as long as it's in the context of an investigation or sting operation.

As far as your not giving information, I believe you. And you do your own screening and appointments. However, quite a few providers use booking agents. They might get on the wrong side of LE and be blackmailed by LE into keeping the information.

We really need to get this as the next thing to be legalized after gay marriage and pot. In My Humble Opinion.

Having said all that, I was laid off last week, and the last time I saw a provider was March. I'll be getting my severance pay and will want to find a provider, but I probably won't pass a reference check. The provider I saw no longer advertises, and the one before that was a year before. I'll have to go to an Asian massage parlor and settle for a clothed woman...

The person each of us trusts the most not to do each of us any harm is ourselves.

I know my intentions are good.  I also realize providers are not as confident of that as I am.  At the same time, I'm not willing to be that trusting even of providers with excellent reps unless I've gotten to know them pretty well.  The number of providers that know personal info about me I can count on the fingers of one hand with room to spare and all but one of them is retired.  By the time they knew that much about me, I knew the same about them and it took a good many visits to get to that point.

Each of us makes our own decision about what we are comfortable with.  I'm not comfortable with handing out full names, employment info, or Linked In or Facebook profiles to someone I've never met.

Using your own.  I have been robbed seeing provider. Would you be willing to hand over your LinkedIn, FB, work info to me?? If not, then hell NO, your not getting mine, not that I would want to see you.

They offer employment verification to be, I don't ask them.. I've had 2 guys send me pics of their IDs & biz cards. One even sent me a screenshot of his work check info... I guess if you want to see a girl bad even you will go thru any amount of screening.. My main requirements are references!!!   But each to their own!!

I have more Okays than I care to admit but was told they were too old and a couple of the women have retired.
Not sure how many is enough

You could also try seeing someone you have seen before. That's usually easier than seeing someone you haven't seen before.

For me sometimes it is the quality of the okay. Preferred 411 used to be really hard to get on, now it's a lot easier. So guys that have Kay's from ladies that I know, or have stellar reputations I will accept their Okayama that may be six months old.
