Hey Matt, would you like me to send you one of those "universal translators"???

I have it on good authority that it will translate even the gibberish spouted by either Fungus or the Pimp. In the meantime, DA and I are both pretty good at deciphering their  nonsense. The problem is that even once deciphered, most of what they have to say still doesn't make much sense.

Why do some federal government jobs force males, to join the selective service as a condition of employment. While their female counter parts are not required to join the selective service, as a requirement?

That is sexist.

They are just stipulating, that they must do what they are required to do, by law, before they can seek employment with the federal government.   Women are not require to do so!  ;)

I think you missed Pimples point, which I believe was his perception that the policy of requiring only males to register with selective service in the first place is what's unfair.

At least I think that's what he was getting at. After years of posting here and reading the moronic, barely comprehensible posts made by the likes of Vern and Fungy, I am at least conversational, if not totally fluent in their particular dialect of moronspeak.

If I had had my second cup of coffee, before reading his post, I probably would have figured that out, and not responded. Given your insight, I think I'll just make it a habit of not responding to his posts, from this point on. Good catch!

that he should now rate the "talk about him, but not to him"  category, sort of like liorr, Trannyboy and a host of other board trolls that have come before him.

and Matt the law is unfair, especially if the pay rate is the same

Women(who do not have to enlist) receive equal pay as men(who are required to enlist). Translation men are obligated to do more work for less pay than women. That is not equality.

Matt, I'm not trying to force my beliefs on the U.S. Military, like some humanist. Who want's an Atheist wedding, held in the  Naval Christian Chapel.

You went from the government requiring men to have registered for the Selective Services; a requirement by law, to the issue of those who have enlisted, which btw include women. Again, as with applying for any government job, if you are found out to not be in compliance with a law, you won't be hired! That is the issue!

in order to apply to specific federal job men have to enlist. Are you telling me women must do the same, if they want to apply for the same federal job?

I'm not familiar with the process, the reason for this post.

"I'm not familiar with the process, the reason for this post."

Yes, it's quite obvious you're not!

Registering for Selective Service is a matter of filling out some paperwork and sending it in. That's what you started out with.

Being enlisted starts with getting your nice locks of hair shaved off, getting kicked in the butt to get in line for your physical, then having a dufflebag, full of the clothes you'll being wearing for the next several years, thrown at you like a salmon is thrown at Pikes Market in Seattle.

Come back when you have even the remotest idea of what you're talking about.

Do you have to have a couple of good stiff ones to dull the headache of using it? lol

If that's the case, I have some decent single malt scotch on hand.

Doing the same thing when sober is just rather tedious. One easy way to tell when I am PUI is when I actually engage the likes of Fungus or Pimp, most of the rest of the time, I only talk about them and not to them. It saves on painkillers.lol

I hear it can be a very smelly job!   ;)

P.S.

I don't think you really have to worry about signing up to the Selective Services Board. I imagine you're old enough where that doesn't apply!
