BURLINGTON — Police arrested seven men and one woman during a prostitution sweep in Burlington on Friday.
The reverse stings targeted “johns” in what police said was an effort to keep prostitution out of Burlington. The men responded to ads posted by a female police officer, authorities said.
“In conducting these operations, the Burlington Police Department is seeking to send a loud, clear message to those who want to engage in prostitution and would bring women here for the same purpose: Do not bring your business to Burlington,” Police Chief X___ X___ said. “There is no room for this kind of elicit activity in our community.”

If the 7 men had done their research before calling the fake wanna be escort they all would have been safe ,but you never showed how low and scummy the 7 guys looked like .I wouldnt have seen them at all and those type of men I bet you dont even know the major sites like ter ,but what you didnt mention on the board they are looking for drugs too .There are so many local girls who actually live in vt (a little bird told me ) that majority of their money goes to pills,and the big H .and thats what they are trying to clear up as well.The set up was the same hotel on dorset street across from the mall.The same hotel where that girl from rutland they were looking for had too much traffic in her room the manager called the cops .

BURLINGTON -- Burlington police arrested eight people for prostitution Friday night in what the department is calling a "reverse sting" to target customers.
A female police officer posted ads on a website that hosts classified ads offering sex for a fee. Seven men attempted to pay for sex from the undercover officer and were arrested.
During the sting, detectives also saw an ad from a woman advertising sex from a hotel in Burlington. They contacted her, made an agreement to purchase sex and subsequently arrested her.
