Tiffany ran a place in mid-town Manhattan in the 80s. She was Brazilian as were most of her staff. House policy required a client to shower with his date prior to monies changing hands. A great policy on a couple of levels I think. Does anyone remember her?
For a cop to take his clothes off never mind take a shower with a woman would have been against the rules. I would imagine this was her way of being sure the customer wasn't a cop. I'm sure it also was a very popular ritual that most men looked forward to.

I used to be a very clean man, thanks to Tiffany and her girls. She also went by the name Carol, if we are discussing the same person. I didn't visit her until the early to mid 90's. If you knew of her in the 80's then, she had to be around for at least 10 to 12 years, if not more.

Nina, her telephone lady in later days opened her own place after Tiffany closed. No shower required, but it was always clean with 2 to 3 ladies to choose from.
