Lawyer recommendations?

Can't imagine how distressing that situation is.  Have been thinking about the need to be prepared should something like that occur. (Would never ever go near BP gals! Only established independents). But would like to have the name of an appropriate lawyer in my hip pocket if needed. Do folks have any suggestions that can be shared in this forum? (I'm in Atlanta).
Thx in advance for any assistance!

I just got picked up in a sting...My first offense, I dont have any record at all. and am looking for some solid advise

but get a lawyer who is experienced in this type charge.

About the best outcome you can hope for is some type of Alford plea, pay a fine, perhaps go to "John's school" and have the incident expunged after a period of time.

If he was smart enough to mainly STFU, he could have quite a bit of wiggle room for a decent lawyer to get him off entirely. OTOH, if he dug the hole deeper by trying to talk his way out of it, even the ghost of Johnnie Cochran won't be able to get him off.

None of us can give him a bit of practical advice with the limited info we have to go by, the only advice worth a fuck that can be given here is GET A LAWYER, and do it NOW!!!.

Also please do yourself a favor and find yourself a better class of lawyer than it appears you look for in hookers. I know the mantra of "stay off of Back Page" is a tiresome one, but there is a reason almost everyone gives this advice, it's valid.

I know the sting he speaks of.  Dude you gotta exercise some smarts and self control.  Stop throwing caution to the wind and trying to find hookers in god forsaken St cloud.  Drive down to the cities, MPLS cops don't have time to be chasing the likes of you.

Regardless, get in touch with a lawyer who has experience handling these sorts of charges.  Good luck.

sorry to hear about your troubles that really pisses me off that LEO wastes their time

but please share who and how

With all sympathy, must be tough outside major urban areas.

I switched to New TER to find that he sees low rent, BP providers in Mn. Lots of price points under $200 and lots of TER scores of 6 and below.

I don't wish any ill towards anyone here, but sometimes you just can't be surprised when certain things happen. This is one of those times.

I hope the OP has better taste in lawyers than he does in hookers, that is likely his best chance of walking away from this unscathed.

Agree with you on this.  There was a thread on the Newbie board a few days ago where a newb was asking for advice on setting up a session.  He did a few things right: (1) He checked the provider's  TER reviews *and* (2) the newb was going to book the room.

On the down side, (1) he found her on BP *and* (2) when she replied, she didn't bother to screen him--no screening service, no references.  My trick knee twitched when I read that post.  But a dozen guys had already replied to his thread, some of them experienced, and no one had a problem with what he was about to do.   I nearly posted a dissent, but didn't want to start another flame-fest.  Every newbie should read the Legal Corner board, it's a bitter reality pill.  --z

So if you call to set an appointment up and she doesnt ask for references or information for screening that should be a tremendous red flag? any other red flags I should look for?

Much appreciated

Again, it all depends, do THOROUGH research and follow your gut. I've seen a provider or two that didn't ask for reference outside of a cursory what's your age/ethnicity, BUT they had at least 6-7 positive TER reviews, with a few being from guys who had reviewed over 2 dozen providers.

However, IF you see a completely new provider with no reviews, she doesn't screen you at all, then you probably wanna start rethinking seeing her. And if she brings up money or acts/services in any communications, book it!
