Needle, I didn't realize that 1979 pre-dated the beginning of time.

As the graph clearly demonstrates, this wasn't always true since the beginning of time. Reagan came into office, gave the rich a 50% tax cut, and this country has been fucked 6 ways from Sunday ever since.

This problem can either end by returning to a normalcy like it was prior to '79, or it can end with heads on pikes. Pick one.

...read it and weep (unless your're a one-percenter).

It's also true that you don't get ahead by tearing other people down. That's what losers never understand

Until the heads of 1%'s are on pikes outside the city walls nothing will change.

Ask Louis XVI or Nicholas II

And the peasants benefited how?

Fidel Castro and Noriega live well...Stalin and Mao kicked ass for the masses...

Is that a term from the 80s? when was the french revolution? 1982?

the only thing "normal" is that some people do better then others.

I would submit to you, that society as a whole would fair much better trying study and emulate success rather pissing and moaning and trying to take people down.

history is on my side.

You will have to commit suicide, if you want to remain equal.

Unlike Barry "Executive Order" Obummer, Reagan actually got his tax cut, that paved the way for 20 million new jobs and brought us out of the horrendous Carter years, by Dems passing it. ;)

Which is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.  Many rich people paid taxes for the first time ever because of Reagan. Tax revenues actually went up under Reagan, much of it from the so called "rich"

Tax rates went down, the tax burden of the truly rich went up. Prior to Reagan there were so many loopholes and dodges for the rich that only the rich and stupid paid any taxes at all, but try to convince anyone who hates the rich as much of Willy of that fact.

There will always be a one percent. I recognize there are people who are smarter or work harder or are more talented than I am. If they get rich it doesn't take anything from me. I will not cry, whine, shake my fist and march like the Occupy Wall Streeters.

.even though I'm not a 1%er. Why should I feel bad for having employees who don't make as much as I? Let them eat cake lol

But let's play your game. Last time I checked, Dems won 4 of the last 6 presidential elections with Dem majorities in the congress, for a least a time.

So why didn't they fix it when they had the chance? And what would your solution be exactly?

Raise the minimum wage? CBO is already on record saying it could cost 500,000 jobs, possibly one million, thus hurting the poor even further, but every business owner already knows this.

Impose massive taxes that fund a "universal" (ahem) health care plan? There's a reason DEMS went to Obama and begged him to push back the employer mandate.

Should we cap CEO pay? Free societies don't do that for one, and two, a government that is THIS close to running the debt to 18 trillion shouldn't be lecturing anyone else on how to spend money.

I'm ready for your ideas, Big Papa.
