One misses too much if drunk because you're always going to the restroom too pee.

But why the controversy from the religious pedants. It's Hollywood! And "Hollywood" ALWAYS takes truckloads of literary license no matter who or what the movie is about. If they didn't it would be a boor-fest more times than not.

The effect should be fantastic, yeah it sounds like a good movie to go see stoned.

but since I no longer indulge in anything but booze, I think I will wait until it comes out on PPV, or better yet, free cable.

Cut if it did happen,  somebody should know where this boat is located. People find dinosaur fossils from millions of years ago yet no boat that survived a great flood.
They never found the boat. Noone ever found the body of Jesus either.  Apparently he ascended into heaven.  Great excuse these religious folks come up with when they can't give any evidenc. LOL

Just like I believe Charleston Heston accurately portrayed Ben Hur. rofl

Come on DA, debating the existence of Noahs Ark is like debating the existence of the Tooth Fairy. I am sure someone has done the calculations of just how big the Ark would have had to have been to fit two of every species on the planet, but I am sure that taking into account ONLY the insects, the damn ark would have to rival an entire carrier group in size.

Not to mention that this Noah person would have had to had gone to not only all of Europe, Asia and Africa, but North America, South America, Australia, Antarctoca, and literally thousands of large, small, and tiny islands all across the world. Even with modern travel methods, it would take a thousand lifetimes just to visit all these places much less gather up two of every species living there.

So please save your breath and enjoy the movie for what it is, FICTION, no need to get all bent out of shape over it.

I error on the belief that the stories are of a fictitious nature.

You continue to demand evidence, based on fiction.

God is supernatural , not viewable as  a physical form .

Can anyone see the transmissions coming into their TV  , yet many people truly believe actors on
the screen are real human beings  .

Like MMCCR , "Man made climate change Religion" ,  there are men who truly believe in their own perceived  reality , while others are certain  man is not all powerful as the Bible's God , or even the Sun  .

The reason the Ark disappeared from view  ,  a chemical change occurred ,  causing wood to rot and turn  into dirt .
If Noah had built his Ark out of petrified wood , it's likely the Ark would still be preserved , though
Noah and the animals would have drowned from too much weight in the bilge .

If Jesus was a common man or mummy , he would have left his body on  Earth to decompose .

Without vivid imaginations  , movies and science would be boring and mundane .

Movie critics with little imagination  , likely ex English teachers and  spelling tutors ,  would  think quads spell check didn't tell tell him you can't defile the laws of physics .
I  can if I watch a  movie about a Hot  rich woman and a  poor dirty old man  .

The same critics gave the Matrix a thumbs down , because it defied the laws of physics .
Well , what did they think the movie was about , The Bible ?

My imagination says the reason all the Animals  and insects could fit in such a small ship  , the Ark was multidimensional .

  There is no spoon .

I'd feel more defiled if a girl puts on a strap on and does me from behind.   lol
Matrix was an awesome movie

If my Math was capable  I would design my own Ark without using God's blueprint .
I would use  infinite dimensional topology to maximize my magical cubit ,  insuring my insect passengers weren't trampled by elephant  souls .
Awesome , You know packing & stacking  code ,  I'm in lust with you .    :-D

This is the story of the "Flood" as depicted within the Bible. Again, Hollyweird takes sacred "scroll" text and perverts it simply to make bank. Its a shame that John Charles Carter isn't around to voice his opinion.

I do plan to see this farce, as I did The Passion of the Christ, armed with a theologian perspective.

The hedonist in me hope for an exagerated account, not to mention descriptive, of the "begatting" which occurs as a result of inbreeding. We all know that familiarity breeds lust

Kathleen Parker is a money-grubbing moderate psuedo christian determined to pad her own portfolio

Now, if you all will excuse me, my ass included, a plane awaits me

You're always spouting dogmatic dreck, but really man, are you THAT tunnel-visioned???
Do you REALLY think Moses looked like Charlton Heston? Or that Jesus was fair of skin and blue of eye and looks like Jeffrey Hunter (Jesus in King of Kings)? Cuz if you do, stay on that fucking plane

As opposed to the plethora of "GOD-INSPIRED" films like "Son of God", which is supported by the churches and proclaimed to be THE MOST ACCURATE DEPICTION OF THE LIFE OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS THE CHRIST! (HOSEANNA!! HALLELUYA! HOTDIGGITYDOG!!!) , Aronofsky has taken great pains to point out that he is NOT trying to rewrite the story of the Bible, but a fictional narrative with great creative and dramatic license BASED ON the Biblical tale. It is NOT an attempt to rewrite history or lore, unlike Son of God, or that pile of garbage produced by Mel Gibson some years back. Talk about arrogant hubris.

This is a photo of Jeffrey Hunter. Looks perfectly Semitic doesn't he? (yes, in addition to Jesus, he was also the original Captain of the Enterprise on Star Trek. Oh Lord!!!)

enough for me. I have had the "hots" for her since the movie "Career Opportunities". She was great in rocketeer and a beautiful mind. She essentially made Russell Crowe a decent actor.
