Re:Websites
Tabu See my TER Reviews 1596 reads

Well, as far as I understand it- having an ad there myself- Eros is purely an advertising medium.

rare-escorts.com offers an inexpensive template for girls who may not have the time/budget/expertise to build and host their own custom site.

I really don't see how safety comes into play. If they are well-reviewed, then what does it matter where they choose to place their ads or host their site?

I was wondering what more experienced hobbyists, as well as the girls, thought about personal websites, webhost subdomain sites(like rare-escort.com), and others(heaven&heels and eros).

Has anyone had any experience with girls whose page is on rare-escort(or other subdomain sites) or eros? Do you think seeing girls with subdomain sites is safe vs. those with personal sites?

Thanks.

First of all, Eros is an ad site, such as Cityvibe as well as a host of others. When providers advertize on there they usually include a link to their website.

As to whether a lady is safe if she chooses to use a subdomain site vs. building her ownwebsite, I do not think there is any relevence. Sub-domains such as Rare-Escorts are just quick, simple, and far less expensive than building you own website, just a matter of choice and budget. Whether the lady is safe to see or not you still need to do your homework and search the reviews.

Even a lot of the girls that I know that have their own web address, just have it pointing to a sub-domain site anyway.

Just becasue a girl owns a web address such as www.sluttyseacow.com does not mean that she necessarily hosts the site.  That address could simply point to a rare-escort site.

Look for reviews and quit sweating the little stuff, save your sweat for your sessions.

Here is a clever trick I use to see if the provider's site is genuine or just a redirection to a rare-escort or cityvibe subdomain.  (This works only on a Window computer.)

1. Click on "Start", then "Run"; a small box with a text field will open.

2. In the text field, type in "cmd"; a Prompt window will open (it'll look like MS-DOS).

3a. In the Prompt, type in "ping www.rare-escort.com"; then press Enter.
3b. Also type in "ping www.cityvibe.com"; press Enter.
3c. Repeat with any other escort advertising service you know.

4. Each time you pressed Enter, these should have come up, with the format 999.999.999.999 (they're called IP addresses).

5. Now type in "ping [provider's address]"; press enter; a number will come up, as in Step 4.

6. Compare the number is Step 5 to the numbers in Step 4; if first two digits are the same, it means the provider is using her web address as a domain redirection service, not a real site.

I could give a detailed explanation for how and why this works, but this is a provider review site, not a techie forum.

as long as you have done your homework on TER - scams, ripoffs etc. have no boundaries, and can appear on / in all types of websites.... tis the reason you should rely on TER to help weed out the BS.

Thanks guys for the info and advice. It’s much appreciated. I’ve got a couple other questions while I’m at it.

In a thread below (the CL thread) there is mention about sticking to girls that have at least 5-7 good reviews from reviewers with multiple reviews.

How many reviews make a reviewer credible? What is a general cut off for this credibility?

Invariably there are going to be girls with a combination of “credible” reviewers and those that do not meet the cut off above. Do you guys get nervous when you have a girl that has 5 or 6 reviews from “credible” reviewers, but also ones from reviewers with very little reviews?

Finally…What do you guys think about girls that have reviews from guys that haven’t posted another review after them? i.e. that girl is the last review in his profile.

I realize this may be nit picking, but I’m just trying to pick the brains of the experienced before me.

It's tough to give absolute numbers on that.  What works for me is to see reviews from somebody I know.  I tend to learn what guys in my city like, so I can first recognize that it's a legit review and then determine if it's somebody that has similar taste.  Time is the only fix there.

If a girl has several reviews, I check how many are from single reviewers.  If it's over half, and I don't know any of them, I move on.  If she's got over a page of them, that usually helps, but still I look to see the depth of the reviewers.  First timers, even with the best of intention, tend to score higher than once they gain more experience.  Hope that helps

only one review... stay away.  Crosscheck reviews with TER search via phone number... is same client doing reviews on all of the girls in an agency?
I would also check to see if reviewer has any posts on local or national boards.
If a provider has multiple reviews, and some from new reviewers - nothing to worry about here, this is normal... many well established providers get requests from newbies because of their good records.
And yes, you are nitpicking - keep this up and you may have trouble performing in a session... it is like micro management - if I see a trend towards that from folks on this and other boards, I put them on my ignore list for PMs and forget they even exist.

As a provider (a ts) what I tell new guys is generally girls on Eros are "less likely" to be rip offs than girls on free sites.  And girls with  a review history are more likely to provide the result you seek.

To advertise on Eros you have to provide your real name and ID, so it reduces the percentage of skanks.  Also because girls are paying on Eros they tend to be more professional, but not always, which is why checking reviews is smart.

Secondly I do feel that a girl who owns her own domain or pays for professional hosting (if it is more than a single page) is more likely to provide better service, because they are building a business, not just trying to spearate guys from their money.  It's not an absolute.

It is also less likely (not impossible) for LE to pay for a bogus Eros ad, set up a domain, garner reviews over time, build a rep, just to do misdemeanor stings. They can just run an ad on Craigslist and round up a bunch of dummies in a few hours.

Finally a comment on reviews.  "foreignsick" in general is right in his comments.  However my experience has been that oftentimes providers do get legit reviews from one time reviewers.  It may be different for ts as we often play with guys or couples who are just exploring a one time fantasy.

But many guys don't have or won't take time to do reviews leaving it more to the "hard core" hobbists.  Once in awhile someone who really enjoys themselves will write a review and it may be be their only one.

When we were just starting out I'd ask dates to please review us.  Occasionally one would. As we became more well known we had the opportunity to date more gents who were established reviewers.

So I think like with anything, a reputation grows with age.  When you are looking for a date you need to take the overall package into consideration.

And I think the best advice I can give is TALK with the girl on the phone and make your judgement call from there.  If someone is nice on the phone, chances are she will be nice in person.

Hope this helps,
TS Jamie
