I kind of liked old Eddie, but while we are on the subject, I know you libs love to blame Bush and FEMA for what happened during and after Katrina, but if you want to know what happened to all the money that was supposed to go to the levies, you don't have to look any further than good old Eddie Edwards.
I love Eddie, if only for that quote, but also because I LOVE LOO-siana. The difference between corrupt Dems and corrupt Republicans is, the Dems like Eddie know how to have fun. It is as corrupt as most third world countries and has been for centuries. Spending federal money down there is like trying to fill a sieve with water. They steal it faster that you can send it, and the corruption down there runs from the bottom all the way to the top and crosses party lines.
Personally I expect Edwards to win any election he runs in down there. The voters will assume that he will steal more money "for" them than "from" them, and they most likely will be correct.
