if legalized the price will go up because they will tax the heck out of it and regulate the heck out of it. They would make providers keep records of visitors for STD notification reasons, etc.

As far as I know, it is only legal in certain places located in Nevada. It is illegal in the other 49 states. Should it be legal in all 50 states and tell LE to fuck off ?  Why or why not ?

LE doesn't pass these stupid laws, they are only tasked to enforce them. Don't blame LE for the stupid laws that apparently a majority of Americans want to stay on the books.

For the record, prostitution is at least "mostly legal" in most of the non Islamic world. It seems to work just fine in those countries, even those countries without even the pretense of any wall of separation between church and state.

potentially reduce other tax burdens. The economic effect would be amplified by reduced expenditures for law enforcement and low income programs.  Not to mention all the spin-off jobs, like video and photographic services, collectibles manufacturing & sales, etc.  There would also be a boom in specialized monger housing, similar to retirement communities.  Wouldn't you like to buy a condo at Hobby House?

In most of the rest of the non Muslim world, prostitution is already not a crime, and it is a relatively small percentage of GNP for most countries.

Your point is valid that resources presently used to combat hobbying could be much better used to fight "real crime" much as legalizing marijuana in many states will free up resources in those states now. but to call it an economic boom is a more than just a bit of an exaggeration.

expertise.  Just advocating for our very worthy cause with a general sense of benefits, and you may note that my comments veered into silliness at the end because that amuses me.  I'm also too lazy to research casino economics, but I have general sense that they are spreading like wildfire because they increase the tax base.  Atlantic City currently is the exception that proves the theory indirectly because it is suffering precisely because so many other venues are opening.
