The 70s

I've started to watch Vinyl on HBO and I was wondering if anyone on here could characterize the hobby back then. This would be around 1974; pre-punk, pre-disco, pre-saturday night fever. Besides technology, what else was different than today?

Implants not as common.
Pussy natural more than shaved.
STDs but no AIDS yet.
Lots more free love lol.

The fact that we have the resource of the electronic medium, called the internet, to pursue certain
activities, and are able to view ads, with actual pictures, with some nudity, or form of seduction, is a big big change, over that of the 70s.
Back then, it was go out and sneak into a massage joint, and get a metro forum paper, to read the ads, and see some grainy pictures of providers.

There was more free love and sex going on then, but then there was also a lot more of the drug scene ?
If you were a traveling sales person, and came into town, you had to ask a cabbie, where were the
houses of prostitution ? and other venues, where one could buy some time with a particular type of
provider, such as young, or busty and so on.

Back then, Vice was active, but they were more involved with conducting raids on the bathhouses
and busting on the gays, so LE could show the continued need for funding, as they were arresting those mentally ill gay folks, for violation of moral law, and thus more likely to turn a blind eye
to the prostitution industry.

Back then, you had a number of different places, massage palors, and so on, to go get a massage
and then get sucked and fucked, and BBFS was a lot more frequently available as well.

So thsese are just a few of the many changes, and I could go on, but I will save some space for others to chime in.
Gezz am I an old dog or what ? talking about the 70s and here I am, having been a young,
mean and lean, rough and tough guy cruising around in my hot rod on Lake Street, and kicking
out that evil Rock and Roll, yea, you know, the music that was going to damage my brain
and turn me into a misfit ! LOL

All great analogies escorts did more street walking East lake, University ave some hotel bars also yellow pages under escorts or massage agency's like dial a blond bunny hutch etc.as mentioned mucho bbfs always bbj.Cops seldom arrested John's just the gals and really not much heat a lot easier than today not to mention all the free love.during the 70s a lot of heat around all the young chicks being exploited and ending up being limped New York that's when LE started getting serious.

I first found the ladies downtown on Hennepin ave. then Plymouth ave. then up to West Broadway. Now I wouldn't even walk those streets. But back then it seemed great. And as always, bareback everything.

Yeah, that one is scary. Watch out for that Whole Foods!
