I have been doing this for over forty years without serious incident

I have seen literally thousands of women, used dozens of agencies and zip, zero, nada, no members of LE have ever contacted me about my whore mongering.

For the record, I don't have a hobby phone, could care less about a paper trail, and I have occasionally used a credit card when whore mongering.

Now I don't recommend being as cavalier about your whore mongering as I am, but if I've never been arrested or even threatened by LE by leaving a trail a mile wide for decades, I would say that with even minimal precautions you should have no problems, from LE at least. If you have someone at home that you are cheating on, I would suggest you be a bit more diligent in covering your tracks. Getting busted by a spouse is a lot more damaging, not to mention likely, than worrying about LE coming after you.

I was pretty relaxed about the hobby until I read the posts in this forum. So far, I've done some things that are perhaps not so smart:

-- I purchased a VIP membership to an agency site using my credit card.
-- I used my own cell phone to set up a meeting

My question is: Let's say the agency gets busted. What is my risk? There's nothing illegal about buying a membership to a club so you can see photos of escorts and go to social events with them. They would need corroborating testimony from the escorts to cover what we actually did. And isn't it in the escorts' best interests to simply say that anything we did after money exchanged was purely a consensual encounter between adults?

I'm not a high-value target. I'm not the governor of New York, or any other state for that matter. I'm not married, so I wouldn't have much to lose if my hobby became public. I just don't want a criminal record.

I guess I can buy a burner cell phone. That's my first step.

As far as VIP membership, I looked into prepaid Visa cards, but they all require registration. I'm sure if I provide false information like a false SSN or something, I'm probably breaking Federal money laundering laws that are way more serious than a prostitution charge. Is it safe to continue using my credit card

I try to avoid agencies, for the reasons you give.  It is rare to hear of a client getting busted on account of their name being found in the agency's records, but who needs the worry?

As for buying VIP with your credit card, the big risk is the SO finding out.

You can use international money orders too, but they take a long time I hear.

It takes a little effort to be careful as possible...  but you'll avoid scams & ripoffs too.  Don't be complacent or sloppy & you'll do fine.
Don't use employer equipment or connections to access adult sites.  Guys have been fired from 6 figure jobs for that.
The former NY Governor was investigated because of odd money movements that arrounsed suspicion.  He made himself a target.  Most of us just make cash withdrawals & put away for a hobby date.  I take a cash back from every check...  pocket money...

The concern I have is credit card payments. I know some people recommend working with independents, which I intend to do. The agency I work with hosts Meet & Greet nights as well as theme parties with the escorts. These seem to be a lot of fun.

These events cost money. I need to pay for a VIP membership to the agency plus event costs with a credit card. It seems that even a prepaid credit card is traceable in the USA these days, since so much work has gone into clamping down on money movements in the name of stopping terrorism. (As if Eliot Spitzer's case had anything to do with terrorists!!!)

If the agency's financial records are raided and my credit card payments appear, what is the risk?

My feeling is that there's nothing illegal about the events... hell it's just paying a small fee to have drinks with some girls. But the paper trail does tie my identity to my customer profile and any girls I may have arranged meetings with.
