Being crowded out by Trolls, Kids, Mods: it's hard to enjoy adult boards.

Please don't cry too much.

In honor of the Super Bowl, I'll use the following analogy:

Say you are invited to a Super Bowl party, upon arrival your host tells you that if:
you want to watch the game, go to room "A"
you want to watch the ads, go to room "B"
you want to tell a joke, go to room "C"
you want to talk politics, go to room "D"
you want to discuss legal issues, go to room "E"

How many would stay at that party?

TER's decision to balkanize user discussions into separate boards has had the effect of making them all boring.  Part of makes a party or board interesting is a variety of topics versus just one.

If TER wants to aggregate discussion threads by topic, my suggestion would be to post them into the board of the users choice, plus the specific topic board.

TER continues to have useful information, but frankly I no longer need that information.  The boards have become snooze fests.

Don't let the door hit you on your.. as they say.
I'd say good luck in life, but I don't really care, and I'm sure many others here don't either.

You'll be back

You have made your opinion known many times and TER has not been swayed. I understand your frustration, even if I don't really agree. A less than good thing about TER is they won't even notice you are gone. A good thing about TER is if you ever decide to return they won't notice that, either. So if you ever decide you want a little refresher on that useful information you no longer need, c'mon back.

I wish you happy hobbying.

You can join the group of others, like WK2014, who have quit/left TER recently. Maybe start your own website...

in some way, shape, form when we decide to finally get out.  some of us more than others, some of us just fade away and people forget to even ask.  regardless of your reason for leaving, and regardless of what we may personally have said to each other in the past...take care.  we all find it really hard to initially get in the hobby and often times harder to make a decision to leave.  i get the impression we may hear from you in the future...we meaning those that are on this board when you may chose to join in the discussion again...after all i may be gone by that point.  good luck, best wishes.

...all of the major hobby boards have separate sub-boards for humor, non date related ISO, politics and Provider ads. It's a good thing in some ways; I really don't give a shit about others' political opinions and I don't come to the boards to discuss politics. It's too bad that humor posts are often quickly moved to the Humor board. The Minnesota board has always been fairly good about allowing discussions about local legal issues and discussions about tech issues surrounding keeping your Hobby life data and activity incognito. I recall when Providers would advertise on the local boards but now, having a separate Ad Board seems like a better idea. TER seems to suit my Hobby style better than the other major boards. I realize the Minnesota board is in a really sorry state right now but my experience is that this phase will right itself over time.

Don't wanna see you leave. You've had a good run. Take care.

Don't let the door hit you in the a$$.
