Now, I'm not sure how the state of NH is viewing prostitution, but I have a feeling they realize that it could be something they could regulate so that they can dip their far-reaching, greedy hands into the gross amounts of revenue the trade generates. In other words, a way to collect much-needed tax revenue. First legalize marijuana, then prostitution (I have no problem with that, as long as it isn't taxed to death.), then every other vice. Why not?  A few states have already become drug dealers; what's keeping them from becoming political pimps. I'd hate to see what this world is like 100 years from now!

I'm sure we are not about to run out of places that will keep it illegal anytime soon so you can always live in one of those places.

... for a long time that failed to make prostitution illegal so long as done in private and outside of commercial establishments, or something like that. I heard about it in the aughts when someone wanted to close the loophole but don't know if they ever did.

The opposing politician in that article is hilarious, though. If it's not illegal, nothing will stop men from cheating on their wives! I wonder if he ever listens to himself, and what his wife thinks about that admission.

Although I suppose it could have happened in New Hampshire as well.

And it was outlawed in Rhode Island back in 2009. And a recent report shows the incidence of rape and STDs was lower in RI while prostitution was legal.

Hopefully they will make it legal and even more hopefully maybe it will open the door to other states making it legal.
