GFEstarz: Episodes 11-13 (Spoilers Ahoy!)

Finally finished this series last night.  The strongest of the final three episodes is 'Home',  where Christine returns home to celebrate her parents' 30th anniversary.  Mom, Dad, & Sis have all seen the sexxx tape, and everyone is walking on eggshells.  I like how it plays out--Dad is most forgiving, while Mom & Sis are absolutely furious with Christine.

Dad: that tape was made by her former boyfriend.

Mom: is that what Christine told you...don't be naive.  She was always selfish, she always wanted to be the center of attention.

Christine cannot bear her mother's icy reception, and leaves early.  Dad drives Christine to the airport, and tries to give her some cash for the trip back to Chicago.

Christine:  Dad...I don't need any money.

Dad: go ahead and take it...in case you get hungry, you can get lunch.

It's a remarkably moving moment--Dad's still trying to take care of his little girl.  Christine hugs him, and realizes that she cannot go home again.

The final episode is dominated by a long & boring role-playing session between Christine & a repressed client.  I'm not sure what to make of this final episode--it's anti-climactic.  The season should have ended with "Home".   I'd recommend this series to anyone on the board.  --z

This has been a fascinating series for me. The final episode for the season IMHO was the weakest . I believe they were attempting to portray her slow evolution and the totality of this new life. But for me it just missed the mark.

Some of my takeaways from the series.
Christine is one of those ladies I might have popped up on my radar and I intended to book some time with her. But before I get around to it I meet her at a M&G. Not finding her all that attractive and her non engaging personality is a turnoff. I think , boy , I'm glad I never booked with her and move on to a genuine hottie and initiate my shameless flirting.

Christine's complex personality reflects many Providers I've known through the years.

Her furious reaction to being wronged seems to be a common trait among most ladies in the biz.

None of the clients are very likable. The only dude I felt good about was the poor bastard with the big boat who died and left Christine $$$ in his will.  Of course even he was so stupid he mentioned her by her professional name thus creating more probs than a genuine gift.

Over all I find more familiarity than the silly as the stories develop . Much more accuracy and realistic portrayals than most attempts at telling the story of the hobby world.

Looking forward to next season.
