I was glad to read the quote above. Hollywood usually depicts P4P in the most idiotic way. The original film was a disappointment (Sasha Grey was better than the script). Soderbergh's film had a gritty realism, but I'm hoping the series will provide a little more depth to the main character. In the film, Chelsea was a bit of an enigma. The reporter writing a magazine piece on Chelsea came across as a frustrated john. Instead of revealing something about Chelsea, the reporter exposes himself as a sad, lonely man. Maybe that was the point of the film (along with rapacious consumerism). But the most interesting character in the film remained aloof & detached from everyone around her. --
