Not sure but I think they just get dropped from Top 100 if they were on that list but they don't...

...lose their active status otherwise.

I've heard that TER has a new rule for providers to the effect that, if they don't get a review for three months, they get dropped from TER.

True?

They got dropped from the top 100, not booted off of TER.

It should be automatic that as soon as they get a review they get back on.
Does not always happen automatically. If does not need to contact TER /
Had it happen with one of our locals. Went back instantly upon contact.

I am a very low volume provider and I do not ask or beg a client to write a review.
I think this rule sucks
Just my 2 cents

I think it has positives & negatives: fresh reviews show newest point of views......we all know how much people can grow and change over time.
Also I think it's kind of cool that the list won't remain stagnant and sometimes gals might "climb the numbers" or land somewhere for a while that might not have any impact on business but still can make a gal feel good,
 (we luv compliments) ;) ;)
also there is the rare guy here and there that really pay attention & landing higher on the list may even help a gal.

Though it should be known to TER members not all gals will always be found on MN top 100 & maybe just start searching names of someone ur interested in.
Being low volume presents the frustrating issue of not staying "in place or even on the 100 & believe me I can imagine & agree it could feel tacky to straight out ask for a review especially if you're not new.

However most everyone I've ever seen has written me a review & I think it's 'cause when we meet I talk about their opinions of TER and ask how they feel about reviews, no I don't ask for reviews but more often than not I get one written.

I love debating & I love honest opinions, matter of fact I find people and all their different perceptions very fascinating,
So even with the bumps & kinks ;) I wholeheartly believe in TER and the review process.

Thank you Mindi I appreciate your feedback. And it makes sense I dont post on here often and I was just venting..
I guess If I want to keep my status in the top 100 I need to do somethings different :-)
Thanks again XOXO Kim

If you drop out of the top 100 due to past 3 months just tell the next guy you see to review you. Happens all the time as I notice girls who leave the top 20-30 and within a week they magically appear back on after a reviewer gives them super high scores to keep them where they "belong"

It also makes it a little more difficult for a provider to get a high ranking and then do everything she can to not get more reviews to avoid the risk of her ranking falling.

...the list were the 3 month review rule relaxed a bit.

I've never based my decision on who to see on the Top 100 list. In fact, I never even look at it for any city unless the subject is brought up in discussions. I tend to choose companions who are active on the TER boards, advertise on the TER ads or I look at the reviews of active Hobbyists and see who's been rated highly by himself and others.

When TER first introduced the Top 100 lists, they were truly meaningless and worthless. They included Providers who had been retired or inactive for years. Now, at least TER has taken steps to make those lists current and more meaningful. I know that you and many other Providers take pride in your work and deserve to be properly recognized by a fairer ranking method; hopefully it'll improve over time.

And of course, I'm influenced by personal recommendations of people I trust. Like my friend Borat boasts about Natalia...   ;)
