It is a very self-revealing story about a woman in a troubled marriage who is seeking an ideal lover. Her passion is to find someone who is very physically fit and attractive, younger than her, and also has to have a great deal of knowledge about how to sexually pleasure a woman putting her needs first. She wants a man who is both patient and intuitive. SHe leaves her husband and two children for a single life, although the children do occasionally visit and eventually become understanding of her search.  

I felt a degree of sympathy and sadness for her. She as expectations about how men will make love to her, yet from the book it does not appear that she clearly communicates those expectations to the men. She is often disappointed, yet some of the problem may come from her not telling them what she wants.  

I am a bit puzzled by her posting on Backpage. In the book she clearly does not enjoy spending time with older men or men who are obese. She does not state those preferences in her Backpage ad. If you are older and/or obese and have read her book, you would not want to see her
