Was just watching CNN and it stated that all I phones can tell a cop or a wife or whomever where that person has been (address) amount of time there and how often and the dates they visit.  This activity can be disabled for those who did not know (such as myself and now I am telling all my Johns who own I phones) by the following.
SETTINGS
PRIVACY
LOCATION SERVICES (if it is on then follow the next page and scroll down to bottom)
SYSTEM SERVICES
Scroll down to frequent locations and if it is on it will take you to the next page and show you all the frequent locations you have been lately!!!!!!
TO DISABLE UNDER FREQUENT LOCATIONS ERASE HISTORY
AND DISABLE GREEN FREQUENT LOCATION BUTTON
GO BACK AND YOUR FREQUENT LOCATIONS SHOULD BE OFF
THEN HIT BACK BUTTON
THEN CLICK LOCATION SERVICES OFF
When you now use your gps you will have to put in the address you are at manually but its better than being tracked!!!!

smart phones with an Android operating system.  I can't tell you the process for turning on or off the locator service, but I know when they offered to set it up for me when I got a new phone, I declined.  Even tho I don't use my smart phone as my hobby phone, I still have it in my car when I go to a hobby appointment and I don't want anyone to be able to track my locations and time at each location.  Be careful and play safe.

should post a link to this message on the GD and/or Newbie board.  Everyone should know this so they can either be safe, or make a conscious decision to accept any risk that goes with having someone be able to track and record their movements.

The simple solution which keeps your gps working automatically, is when you get down to the  page with the frequest locations, there is a clear history tab.  Just clear it.  Sure you may forget it, but how many of your wives/gf really are going to drill down on your phone to get this information?  I'm not sure how apple by keeping this logged info improves our user experience.
