Two separate points here. First, the review rules are clear that a provider can earn up to her maximum possible score based on what's in her profile... NOT based on what happened in the session reviewed. For example, if a provider can get an 8 because she's "really bi" but the reviewed session was with only the one provider, she can still get an 8 if the reviewer wants to give her that score.  With one exception...

... which is the second point: there's a relatively new caveat to the rules that is unfortunately one of those unwritten TER rules.  :(   It's been covered in the Reviewer board, but not everyone has access to that or chooses to use it. Anyway, for providers new to TER, there must be evidence, from reviews or otherwise (eg ads/web site), that the provider actually performs the services that garner the extra scoring points.  So it is possible for a new provider to get a 10 from the get-go, but her initial review(s) would need to mention at least 3 of the 5 "extras", or they'd need to be clearly documented elsewhere, eg her web site.

Btw, there's providers who give CBJs and no CIM who can and do get 10s. Read the review rules to see how that can happen.

I just read, for the umpteenth time, the following in a review (not an exact quote):  "I would love to give her a higher score, but 7 is the maximum allowed by TER."

It was clear this reviewer didn't notice the performance scores above 7 this provider already has, and even more clear he's never bothered to read for understanding the rules for reviews--or he would have known he could have given her a higher score if he felt she deserved it... which it appears he did.

This isn't about a reviewer giving a provider the score he thinks is fair.   This whole scoring thing is subjective.  But it does have rules, which we as TER members agree to follow. So score 'em as you see 'em.  But don't use your lack of knowledge of the scoring rules as as excuse to give providers a particular score.

That is all; smoke 'em if ya got 'em.  :)

If a girl has lots of 8s for performance but a guy can only give a 7 it is because of what he received from her. Maybe he didn't get the bj that others got or maybe he just got cbj instead of bbbj therefore no cim. When he writes the review he puts what he got from her in the info page and it could be different from what she actually gives and ter bases on that one guys time with her - not from her main page. Read those reviews closely, you'll understand. That is why a newly minted top 10er will never get 10s for performance. Only cbj and no cim and if she ever wants a 10 she will have to change that.
