I challenged you to the wager WITHOUT points--I wasn't looking to get ten, or even five, for that matter.  You're just not a risk-taker, I guess.

That's the sound of Cheezewhiz in the Venetian Sportsbook, if anyone is looking for him!
Kadi, we'll have our fun, anyway!

It's at the Venetian Sports Book Friday Jan. 21st starting around 7:30pm . It's an open invitation, no RSVP required. etc. etc...

The game is going to be on ESPN. We might see Jeffrey in the stands :-).

To answer your question Jeffrey, I'm still thinking about it. :-)

If you have any questions, my email is [email protected]

Yes, they moved the time to 8:30 here (7:30 Vegas) ton accomadate ESPN, and, take a look in the 2nd row accross from the visitors bench, because you just might see me, rooting like hell for The Suns.
And, Cheezy, my offer of that wager is still open, Nash or no Nash.  But, if you do have the balls to accept the bet, I'm hoping you'll post it by Wednesday at the latest, so we all will have time to see it.....especially myself and Kadi.
Good luck.  GO SUNS!  Sorry I won't be at Venetian this time, but I like my seats at America West Arena.

I hope he is playing again because I wouldn't bet the Suns if he is still on the injured list! They haven't won a game since he was injured.

He was supposed to be back tonite vs. Memphis, as his bruised thigh was much-improved, but hurt his knee at the tail-end of practice yesterday when he collided with Barbosa;  now TWO point guards are out tonite!  They will work on him tomorrow, and my sources say he's about 50/50 to play Friday night.  They've been leaderless and weak without him, but I STILL challenge Cheezy to that wager, as I'm just not one to back down.
And, when the Suns do win, I'll sure enjoy my next time with Kadi, courtesy of Mr. Cheese.
In fact, if she calls me, Friday morning, we'll set up the date!

Nash is still questionable and his backup Leandro Barbosa is on the  Injured List.

If Nash is not ready for Friday, I think the oddsmakers will put the Spurs at -10 and o/u at 190 (or less) points.

I doubt the Spurs will beat the spread and the Suns will not lose 6 in a row.

Right now (this could change Friday morning), I predict the margin of victory will be 5 points or less for either team and the point total will be 199. I thinks the odds makers will take a bath on this one.

My money is on Phoenix this game. It's not lack of balls, it's brains :-).

My understanding is that we were betting based on the points spread. I did bet on the Suns tonight and lost. The only thing I chickened out was on the o/u. Besides I would never bet against a home team - The Spurs are 12-8 on the road.

Venetian had Spurs -1.5 o/u 197 . As you saw, Spurs won by 5 and o/u was 251. Re-read all the posts I made about the game, only thing I missed was the Suns winning the game.

Cheese.

PS. I don't know what you're crowing about, Nash & company blew a 17 point 3rd quarter lead :-).

I can't believe the Suns lost they had a nice lead and gave it up. I did bet the over but didn't bet the Suns I chickened out on that one when I got there. I got it at 196.

Too bad he didn't take that bet...

After watching the preshow interview with Nash, I made the (bad) move of taking the under.  No matter, I degenerated and won a few bucks at the tables to even out after tipping all round.

Bob

But I'd love to meet another time.

No problem, the next get together is on Saturday, February 5th at THE Hotel (Mandalay Bay) bar.
