You are absolutely right, Ive been preaching this mantra for years, so Iam glad someone else is speaking the truth, because every time I say you can book these ladies at 1/3 the agency price or even less, Iam called a liar. Guys if you dont like the high prices, you have no one to blame but yourself. Always book direct and never ever give a deposit.

Is the typical agency price for pornstars, $1500 per hour, always been this high? Anyone remember what E2K and others charged three or four years ago?
Yes, rates are going up...only for the the foolish. $1500 is a rate only a fool would pay. The agenices are not your friends.
FACT...MANY spectacular and well know PSE's that the agencies will ask $1500/ hour are available in LA or touring on a direct basis for $500 to $800 per hour. Consider theatwhen they do an anal scene in LA, they get $1000 to 1200 for the scene which takes them as long as 6 to 8 hours to shoot. DO THE MATH!
Now I'll admit some girls are worth more than others for whatever reasons each of us may have. I've paid as much as $1000 myself...but if rates are getting out of hand, it's because to many of you guys just don't know how to say no to excessive rates. USE THE BOARDS AND CONTACT THE GIRLS DIRECTLY. Guys, somebody back me up here!

I'm just wondering, would any one [other than myself] pay 1k an hour while booking direct for a good pse? I'm about to pay it and I just want to know if I am one of the few, or one of many who would.
The problem is that touring with an agency begins to spoil a PSE that had been willing to book in her hometown for $500 to $800... the girl starts thinking... "Hmmm, the agency gets $1500 for me, I must be worth that". So even if she decided to book direct, instead of the $500 to $800 she used to ask, she decides to raise the rate to $1000 or more.
There are LOTS of fantastic ladies to choose from who book direct at reasonable rates (or work with agencies that charges a modest price). Stevie, Nikki Diamond, Kiki D'Aire, Sara Jay, Brooke Lane, Candy Cotton, Kathy Willets, Anna Malle, to name a few... and better yet, they all get fantastic reviews!
I catch flack sometimes for raving about these PSEs, but the truth is if you meet one of them, you SHOULD post a review and shout her praise every time she gets mentioned, even if you're not the type who generally does... If other PSE's see that these ladies are getting talked about, booked solid and making lots of money, they may be more inclined to follow suit, start booking directly and/or lowering their rates.

Well, to answer your original question, the rates are about the same now as they were back then... only there were less PSE's available, and less of them where at the maximum rate of $1500... with the influx of so many new girls, many who are at best minor pornstars, almost all of the women with established video credits are now at the $1500 level, with a few of the true superstars like Chasey Lain, Amber Lynn, Teri Weigel et. al. going for more.
So I guess you could say that the rate RANGE has stayed about the same, but the shape of the distribution curve has changed, with the AVERAGE rate now higher.
Not to derail things but since Eddie brought her name up I thought I'd pass this on.
If anyone was hoping to see Amber in NYC at the end of the month you can forget it cause no matter what the agencies say she isn't going to be there. Amber is going to be spending that time in the hospital.
I was listening to her show on ksex radio dot com on Monday night and she was asked if she was going to make it up to New York. Well she replied that she had been planning to but that during a recent exam her doctor had discovered a large tumor in her uterus. So instead of going to NYC after Xmas she's going into the hospital for surgery.
If any of you get a chance you might want to shoot an email her way wishing her luck. The next few weeks are going to be pretty rough for her.
