As reported in the New York Daily News a couple of years ago (before I discovered this board), a police sting in Nassau County, NY resulted in the arrest of twenty-odd Johns for soliciting. The oldest John was 79 years old. When asked by reporters to comment on her husband's arrest his wife responded, "Don't be ridiculous. He's 79 years old." It's a shame that the poor guy had to have the stress and expense of an arrest at that age.
I agree it's too bad the guy had to go thru an arrest, and it's quite sad his wife had no idea he was still sexual. But listen, can I say something else here. No offense meant to the OP but can we all agree to NEVER use the term "John" again? I just find it so offensive, especially when the sensationalist media calls the clients of sex workers Johns. It's like calling an African American the N word. OK rant over, flame me if you must.
Otherwise we are going down the microracism rathole, here.
