Re: Showing up to see a hooker is the illegality I'm afraid

While you are generally correct when you say that if you are in the room with LE then you are busted, a more apt statement would be that you will be arrested but that doesn't' make you guilty.

Where I live just showing up isn't illegal, it's agreeing to pay another person for a sex act that will get the conviction hence anytime I see a new lady I'm extremely careful to just agree to pay for her time which is perfectly legal. On the flip side the ladies can get arrested for escorting without a license but that doesn't extend to the clients.

In my area LE has been making a real dent in the hobby lately and I can see where they could get a conviction based on a client agreeing to get condoms.

Once you show up...with or without rubbers is of no real consequence.  If it was a sting they would arrest you and you could argue the merits of the case with a judge.

I had one gal text me that request...I was just a few minutes from her incall and it was in a downtown 4 star hotel.  I had no idea where to get the rubbers...so I didn't bother.  Upon my arrival I let her know that we would simply have to do without a rubber and that a BBBJCIMNQNS was my solution to that particular conundrum  LOL

BTW...she had condoms...just figured maybe I would buy some more so she had them for her next john(s).

Some folks are way too paranoid about this text/email nonsense.  If you end up in a room with LE you are busted.  It's just that simple.  To go insane over the "what ifs" will cause your dick to not function properly.

Stay away from BP type gigs...those tend to attract more attention than you may want.  If you look at your regional boards (or any regional board for that matter), try and find any news of a local bust of a TER gal.  You will spend quite a bit of time looking for that.  BP gals however you will find those threads.

Good luck and play safe...and smart.  That way your paranoia will drop to near zero.

I'm not sure if this question has already been asked. I did a search but didn't find anything. I setup a session with a lady here that I hadn't seen before and she had a single review. I setup the session via text and was going to call when I arrived for directions to her room.

Before I arrived I got a text asking that I pick up condoms. Even if all previous communication had only been regarding what I was going to pay for her time, would agreeing to pick up condoms be implying that sex was a forgone conclusion and therefore what I was paying for? I canceled the session and when asked why I was berated as being paranoid.

What are your guy's thoughts on this?

Not only is it part of her responsibility, but as you suggest, it could be viewed as a way of entrapping, though I can't say I've ever heard of LE using that particular rouse.

It's always better to be safe than sorry, so if it made you uncomfortable, then you did the right thing

The reality is you are busted.  Does that mean you are guilty?  Never said that...but you will have a mug shot and a post in your local papers.  Sounds like a blast  LOL

And since you know that just showing up isn't illegal where you live...why the paranoia?  Perhaps you should consider that "just showing up" will indeed get you busted (and have that nice pic posted in your local paper), and cost you some legal fees to explain to the judge you were just looking for directions  LOL

You asked for thoughts...guess you really don't mean it however.

So yeah...I think you're paranoid.  But rest assured you are far from alone given how many guys here echo your concerns.

I'll say it again for you....simply be aware of your surroundings.  If you're seeing someone who is reviewed the likelihood of a bust is small (nearly zero IMHO).  But if you want to believe that the black helicopters are following you...sorry  :(

“Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you”

― Joseph Heller, Catch-22

Just because you're NOT paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you, either.

Given the context (someone with a single review) I don't think you are being too paranoid.

Sure showing up either way means you'll be arrested.  But it seems like often the cops are trying to get other evidence also, like asking explicitly if you want sex, and I could see bringing condoms an extension of that approach.

Personally I always bring extra condoms to an appointment anyway, so it's not like I think bringing them is the issue.  It's just being asked ahead of time if you don't know her already.

If I knew the person, or they had a lot of reviews, I'd probably just not respond and bring them anyway

to see a certain Fav lady...   to give her a better ETA...  on our prebooked date.  So this one time, she asks me to pick up condoms.  I'm not afraid of LE, because I've seen her multiple times over a few years...  but dang it, I'm on the interstate...  don't know the area.  So I have to get off & hunt for a place & end up buying a product I wouldn't have otherwise.  (Std thickness, not thinner premium products).   The time threw off my schedule.  That day I had time but lot's of times I don't.
Since then, I make sure to have a sealed 3 pack with me.   I'd rather throw away a few bucks than blow my schedule.  Having condoms is also a defense against certain scams...

But to the OP...  I don't think you were wrong.  That was very unprofessional of her.

it is very unusual request on a first date.  If it had been an undercover LEO...  A bust would be pretty certain.
You are the only one who can state your comfort level...  and that request is out of the norm.  If you are that nervous (rightly or wrongly) you probably would not have had a good time.  One succeeds at this game we play by not taking unnecessary chances.  That's sloppy & sloppy is what gets folks busted.
Experienced providers know better.  Just because she's a provider...  and a relatively new one with just one review...  does not mean she knows all the ins & outs.  Guys have been busted or found out on their first try...  largely because they didn't real TER, the self help section, the newbie board & reviews of the providers...
I probably would not have booked with a one review provider.   I can't say you were wrong to think with your big head (not your little head) when something outside of the expectations was thrown at you last minute.  Sometimes a hunch is all the warning we get.
