How long?

If they call ahead I'll let it slide up to 15 minutes even 20 if they're cute.
However, if theres no call within 5 minutes I cancel the appointment altogether.
I'm on a very organized and limited schedule, literally don't have time to sit there and wait for anyone and there's plenty of others patiently waiting to visit with me .

To wait?
Lol, made you look. But seriously how long is too long to wait for a client to arrive?

I had some one that I haven't seen before schedule for 5:30 for a 60 minute  then said they were going to be 15 minutes late. So I waited... Until 6:13. As I'm waiting In traffic,my lovely scheduler informs me at 6:20 that he is at the door waiting to be let in.
There is a part of me that felt like I should have turned around but I don't think I wouldn't have been able to turn the charm on at that point.

So how long is too long to wait for someone?
 Ugh

Ug

Unless he lets you know it will be much longer.

The fact that part of you told you that you should turn around only speaks (positively) about your attitude towards your clients.

You waited about 30 minutes longer than I would have, without an update from the latecomer.  His loss!

I waited an hour that subsequently was a NCNS...but I had a good book! And a smart phone lol.

I confirmed with her 1 hour before, she gave me her address, and SHE even asked me if I'd mind making it 15 minutes later. No problem for me...started driving, arrived on time, nada...

Obviously, she got a better offer as she never answered or replied to calls, texts, or e-mail that day or in the next few days when I was hoping to reschedule. Still pisses me off.

Told a few friends who told a few other friends....nothing worse than negative advertising, right!

When 15 minutes late turns into 50 without any contact from him that is way too much.  If he'd kept you informed and if you had the time to spare then that might be another matter but under the circumstances you describe, none of that is on you.

gone to see Jersey Boys, while you waited. He was probably there too!

If it was an earlier appointment in the day he would have been entitled to about 10 min.  More at your option. The next massage appointment should not have to wait due to his lateness. In this case a portion of a ladies time with her family was wasted.  In addition he missed quality time with a quality lady.

first question is did he call or contact you to let you know?  If not then it is on him.  traffic is so bad at least on the west side that a 15 trip can take 60.  I did not make up that number, I misses an appointment scheduled for 6pm because it took 60 min to go from Plymouth to lake Calhoun.  Normally it would 15 min and 30 at rush-hour  so I gave my self 45 and still showed up 15 late.  Did not have a current phone # to call so when I got there and she was gone I sent a apology/explanation.  15 min is reasonable w/out a call.  after that one should expect that you would not be there.

If they call ahead I'll let it slide up to 15 minutes even 20 if they're cute.

I called after 5 min to see if they are running late or possibly lost.
I have this posted on my website:  If you're more than 15 Min late & still have not arrived for your appointment, it will be canceled. To schedule another appointment you will have to pay 50% of the session you missed.
I've only had a one NC/NS so far in about a year.

when he offered up the ETA, it was over when that passed.

I did my best to keep her informed. I was so late we only had 8 mins left in the hour. I wanted to keep the 8 mins so I could pay for the hour, it was totally my fault. I'm surprised she waited that long.
