Is having an alias to your fake name like wearing 2 condoms?
I have thought on occasion that some providers may like me more or less due to my (still moderated) comments. So be it; as Popeye said "eye yam what eye yam". I see where some may want to hide their name from their other name, but I don't personally see the need.
been for me, over the past several months, a nice occasional diversion from everyday life! A place where like minded guys and gals, with a little broader perspective than most, can post thoughts, advertise, tease, challenge.....and, even make sport bets............basically, PLAY. No prerequisites to participate and anyone can say what they like, short of being cruel, threatening, or pushing a knife in "too" deep......And, thankfully, there's no spelling test...or, I would have been ousted on day one. LOL
At my request, I was even taken off moderation.....for good behavior lol (a previledge I would encourage all to strive for). Reading posts and responses here has guided me to reviews and websites that led to meeting some terrific women.......my main purpose here! I've enjoyed observing the surprisingly broad (LOL) intellect of many providers, and the shared sense of humor among providers and hobbiest.
So, where am I going with this????
Men here have somewhat of an unfair advantage, in that, the providers have reviews posted and links to websites...with pictures and other personal information. I'll read a few of a hobbiest's reviews to get a small feel for what kind of guy might be behind that post or response......but, generally,..we are hidden behind our TER User Name, which is an alias.....and, for good reason!!!! LOL
Why, on the discussion board (some here longer might can help on this) do people use another alias other than their user name? Are they ashamed to connect their thoughts to their slightly more clear identity???? No bid deal! I just wonder.....Why wear 2 masks?? Does this provide the opportunity for more than one vote (so to speak) when a controversy arrises? Or, could these be.... providers posing as hobbiest?? And, if so, why that?
Something else....that.....well.....AMUSES Me.....are the regular responses to posts which say something like......."I can't help you there".......or,....."I don't know either" LOL
I would imagine that you , like me, didn't respond because we also DIDN'T know, or have anything to add. What's running thru their mind....thinking anyone would care that they don't konw??? LOL Has the Board just become so much of their life that they just have to see their name in every other thread??? Why waste the space?? In MHO that just weakens their posts AND reviews....if their life is that boring.

Once in a great long while I use an alias due to embarrasment - mainly some super dorky reply to a post. A couple times It was extremely important that my identity remain unknown due to the sensitive nature of the posts. Thought I'd chip in - plus I get to post a link to my site. Lol.

"I don't know either"...But I did stay @ a H****** I** Express last nite ! LOL... I've enjoyed reading this board from time to time..it has life, good info and entertainment value..never did understand the need to use multiple aliases. lets do away with them and just have one.
about those who write something in just about every post. You see this quite often on the Politics board, where certain contributors seem to write something in virtually every post. Most of the time I don't even bother to read their posts anymore, as it's the same old BS every time. I think you are right when you say these boards have become so much of their lives that they have to see their names in these threads constantly. One of these guys recently posted a comment on another board that was unbelieveably unnecessary. He commented on something that only someone who just arrived from Mars would not have known, and it amazed me that he would even bother to write something so inane. Just had to put his 2 cents in, I guess.
