Same problem, but...

Weirdly, I was able to use my Amex to put a CREDIT in my account.  So, I just added $100.  I don't know if this is just a way around it, and I didn't try VISA or MC.  However, AMEX called me IMMEDIATELY to check up on the charge.  So, try it, and answer your phone quickly after.

Hope this helps,

I cannot figure out Bitcoin at all and it's driving me nutty LOL! Can someone please help me, I've looked it up and its still confusing makes me wonder how I graduated highschool LOL!

Check the Backpage thread farther down; they have made advertising on there free, at least for the time being.

Never used it but from friends that have, think of it as an online checking account "wallet" encrypted that each person has and makes transactions "buy and sell" services and trades bitcoins instead of US currency. There is no central control or bank, just all the other users that have visability into how much is in each account and is being traded around the world. There are people who earn bitcoins for helping to monitor the transactions. There is no backing on your bitcoins like a bank would offer. Seems like a lot of work for the same "real" $$'s but is a cool way to buy/sell with Monopoly money.

Although I do not understand bitcoin I will say I really want to meet you today Nicole and love your pics!

I will be opening an office for providers and hobbyists that sells and educates about bitcoin. How many providers or hobbyists would be comfortable coming to an office to buy and learn about bitcoin? How many would prefer to arrange private group meetings for this purpose? My office is the 'incall' place for one person meetings so I don't do 'outcall' for one person.

There is a wealth of information online about bitcoin if you are interested in learning at your own pace with anonymity. I'll just teach you faster and let you buy bitcoin and have confirmation in 15 minutes before you leave. Buying online has too much risk for some since you don't know the other party and it may take 24 hours to receive bitcoin in your account.

Please let me know who's interested and I will create an invite or seminar. I'm open to UTR meetings if a group of providers would prefer to control the venue and meeting.

There is a KYC - Know Your Customer - compliance form I will require to be filled out with each transaction or account. It will require your full legal info, checked with ID, and reason for bitcoin. I cannot fund illegal activities, so please do not indicate illegal activities on your form.

MnDOR, Mn Dept of revenue, & IRS consider bitcoin as personal property, not a legit currency. Therefore, the sale of Bitcoin will have sales tax assessed to each purchase. I accept only cash and you will receive a receipt and confirmation of a completed transaction before you leave the office. I hold your information physically and electronically secure.

email me at: [email protected]. Do not PM me here. Thanks.

Ladies may want to look into alternative options for advertising while trying to figure out bitcoin & if you even want to go that route.

There are plenty of options besides Backpage & many are free such as My Provider Guide. Any ladies interested in leads feel free to email me. [email protected]

Good luck!

Just google "local bitcoins" and you will find a site listing people near you who will sell you bitcoins for cash.  No taxes, no paperwork, no having to give out private information whatsoever.

You can get apps for your smartphone for buying and using bitcoins.  Its not difficult to use bitcoins for purchases.  If you don't want to use your phone, you can print off a paper wallet that will have your private and public keys.  The public key is what you give someone when you want to accept a bitcoin payment from someone.  The private key is what you use when you spend your bitcoins.  You can create as many bitcoin wallets as you want.  Say you want to spend $50.  You create a wallet and send $50 in bitcoins to that wallet.  Now when you use the private key from that wallet to make a payment, there is only $50 in the wallet.  That way you protect your bitcoins and aren't giving out a key that has access to more then what you want to spend.

There are videos and all kinds of reference material out there that can help you.  There are also web sites that will do the transactions for you

This may make a lot of sense given the intended purpose. Compliance is on the seller, not on you. Only the seller gets punished in this scenario. Imagine all customers being free to visit any seller they want and LE only cares about nabbing the non-complaint seller. They'll never give out the names or contacts of their customers to avoid prosecution...Providers are never turned either.....

There is no more risk in your local bitcoin meet-n-greet than there is to any meeting where one party knows the other is bring cash. I really doubt anyone will be robbed in this scenario. What could possible go wrong meeting a stranger with a pocket full of cash?

As of yesterday I was able to take advantage of the free ads. Today it did not work. They only offered the bitcoin option.

Used my bitcoin miners to mine coins then used them to post adds works very good.

In addition to paying sales tax on the initial purchase of bitcoin, the fact that the IRS considers them property means you must keep records of the acquisition costs of all bitcoins and do a valuation of the asset or service you receive in exchange for bitcoin.  The gain or loss then needs to be part of your taxable income calculation.

I wonder why this hasn't caught on....

Bah!  Not even relevant.

Bitcoins can be purchased anonymously and used anonymously.  In fact, you can purchase bitcoins from people in other Countries.  You can meet a person on the street and buy bitcoins from them using cash and without ever exchanging names.   You can use bitcoin mixers to further obfuscate your bitcoins.  The whole point of a crypto currency is that no government controls it.

Yes, you have to be smart and use your head if you want to use bitcoins anonymously but it can be done.  The IRS can't regulate what it can't track

It is relevant. Al Capone was convicted for not paying taxes, not murder. Bitcoin can be traced, just intent cannot be. Do the transaction right, pay your taxes at purchase and you'll be left alone. Street corner dealers are of consistent character no matter what they are selling. The hobbyist that seeks their provider on the street corner may not want to be seen by an incall provider. The street corner shopper is dangerous in all cases.

Your wallet needs to keep track of your basis (what you paid) and you will only be taxed on the realized gain. So, if you buy bitcoin at $ 250., hold it and then convert the same bitcoin unit to known $ value in excess of $ 250.00, then you are taxed on the gain. Keeping bitcoin in bitcoin is not traceable or taxable.

Okay...go ahead and pay your taxes on bitcoins used to purchase illegal services or if not illegal at least services that will help prosecute you if you ever find yourself in a court of law for prostitution related offenses.  *shaking head  That's just stupid.  No offense, but it is.

The idea is to never pay for anything using a method that can tie back to you personally.  That's the beauty of bitcoins.  Be anonymous.

Why use bitcoin?  Think about the alternative.  Imagine you're in court and you've got a great attorney who is going to get you off for sure until the prosecution shows your credit card records used to purchase a TER membership.  It may be circumstantial evidence but damn condemning either way.  This notion that you're safe because it doesn't say TER is nonsense.  Think LE doesn't know who the credit card processors are for this and other similar sites?

It may be overkill to go to extremes to not leave a paper trail but better safe than sorry, right

I guess I was not clear...

Pay the tax going into and out of bitcoin. Within the world of bitcoin it's dark. Once you are using bitcoin, keep using it. The danger is going in and out of bitcoin. ($$ -> bitcoin -> $$) No one knows what you are using it for except as a savings account / investment.

Once smart providers understand the full scope of bitcoin, they will accept nothing else or charge extra for risky cash. We will be offering debit cards very soon that integrate with a tap to pay on Android and soon iOS. I hope some of this is sinking in.

You're not going to find a lot of demand for your services since people can do everything you're offering on their own and for free and with none of this nonsense about paying tax.

As far as cards, there is a company that is offering virtual credit cards that are not tied to a person's name.  You pay anonymously with bitcoin and get your virtual credit card number.  You use the card once and then abandon it.

I have enough of an overloaded plate juggling personal & professional life. There are way too many easier options available & that's what I'm sticking to.

As of yesterday they did. This morning the only option is bitcoin. Yesterday cash or money order & western union were also an option. I also noted at one point yesterday I could no longer post for free early in the day but by early evening was able to. Considering I close up shop by 9 pm that was rather useless but hey, it was free. Lol!

I'm guessing BP is sort of flying by the seat of their pants trying to figure out what works best for them. This is quite a bombshell that's befell them.

In the mean time I personally will just continue using alternative means to get the word out & check in from time to time for those free offers or options other than bitcoins.

This is what part of my bitcoin miners are you can check value each day at preev.com

Thank you all for your knowledge!!!!
