Otherwise OP, it isn't the worst idea if you chose a well reviewed and trusted lady - someone who appears to value discretion, privacy, respect, and your time&energy. Definitely not the worst idea in the world.
If your living circumstances permit it's not a bad idea at all if you know what you are doing. Natalie's been to my place as have a half dozen other TER providers that I can immediately think of. There have also been a handful of BP providers and some assorted massage providers that have walked across the threshold into WB's pathetic lair. So far I've not been murdered. Just ripped off by Sara (you bitch). In fact, besides Sara, which was a non-confrontational rip off BTW, I have a total of two other sob stories when it comes to outcalls. Once, in 1996, I had my credit card swiped from my wallet when I went to the bathroom to clean up. Lesson learned there. The other problem was in 1998 or so when I called an ad out of the CityPages classifieds and set an appointment with a booker. I had too many beers in the mean time and passed out by the time the escort showed up at the apartment I lived in at the time. That crazy ass booker called and left me threatening messages on my home phone (back in the day when you had a little caller ID box and an answering machine with the tiny tapes) for at least a week. I was freaked out and looking over my shoulder for about a day until nothing happened. Then I realized an angry pimp was not coming to collect and I kept that tiny answering machine tape as a memento for quite a few years. Both of those experiences were many years ago and obviously didn't scare me away from the hobby. Long story short...there are many ways to do this hobby thing. Figure out your comfort level on location and be smart about all you do. Then cross your fingers, hope for the best, and get on with enjoying your playtime.
And I live alone which removes some of the risk for me.

on the positive side of things IF you trust the lady and have seen her enough times to deem her OK for an outcall to your residence.
the downside of things is also what ladies fear too. I have to hand it to a lot of ladies for trusting men like us and welcoming us into their homes or hotel rooms.
I would google the number and see if any other names were associated with it. check reputable sites for reviews of said lady, and lastly trust your gut instinct and the brain atop your shoulders when all else fails. If you're calling up an agency, make sure it is well reviewed. (bad experience almost 20 years ago, luckily for me I was not hurt.) from then on I made sure the ladies I saw were all independent, one whiff of an agency or a pimp I left and turned off my nokia 5160 for 12 hours to let the calls go directly to voicemail..
only done it with 1 girl (many times), 1 or 2 others I may do it with
