a provider revealed that she is often asked to show that she is at least eighteen, so she managed to show her drivers license while holding her thumb over her name, address and SSN, while showing her photo and age.

That seemed to satisfy everyone.

I am the newest of newbies and have found a lot of providers between the ages of 18-20.  Is it appropriate to ask for proof of age?

I understand your concern, but the ID you request would most likely have the girls real name and address.  It's highly unlikely that she'll feel comfortable with sharing that with you.  Lots of the girls become fodder for stalkers, and get pretty protective of their privacy as a result.

If you're not comfortable being with a provider who claims to be 18 to 20, then don't see them.  Asking for proof of age in a setting that (unfortunately) is against the law is inappropriate.

Quite frankly, my bet is that you'll be much happier with a provider in her 30s.  Experience counts.

Well at least in their mid 20's. I was watching an NBC "pervert sting" the other night and of course these guys were pervs because the "stinger" was posting that she was only 13. However; seems to me that if one hooks up with a girl that's got 17 yrs and 364 days under her belt, one could wind up with an ankle bracelet and deported to a new neighborhood.
