Hi everyone!

I'm planning a trip to the Twin City area and am hoping some of you might be willing to help break down the Twin City metro area for me and offer some advice.  I've never been to Minnesota so please treat me like a complete newbie!

I'm looking specifically for information about areas other than the Downtown Minneapolis area and Bloomington (Mall of America area) in regards to hosting.  A lot of hotels by Mall of America are either described as MSP Airport/Mall of America and Bloomington West/Mall of America.  With quality of hotels being the same, is one area more convenient than the other?  Plymouth?  St. Paul?

Trying to get a sense of what neighborhoods would be the most convenient for potential suitors and would have the most easily accessible attractions to someone who wanted to really enjoy the city while they were there.

Any advice on attractions that shouldn't be missed or restaurants that just have to be tried would be greatly appreciated!

Any girls that would be willing to chat more in detail about your city I would super appreciate an email or a pm and am happy to return the favor for the East Coast cities that I'm familiar with!

Thanks so much in advance for all your help!

Downtown Mpls and Bloomington/MOA are probably going to be your best bets.  Plymouth is west of downtown and not convenient for people on the east side of the Metro.  St. Paul has some nice hotels, but for some reason, many Minneapolis people are reluctant to head over across the river to visit their sibling city.

For restaurants it really depends what your tastes are.  But generally speaking, Bachelor Farmer, Borough, 112 Eatery, Bar la Grassa, can't be beat.  Parlor and Eat Street Social for great cocktails.

You might get a kick out of Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge, which is pretty unique, and has a killer patio, great cocktails and awesome good. A little out of the downtown, but a fun way to spend an evening, especially if the weather's nice

Downtown Minneapolis is centrally located, easy to get in and out of, you can walk to a wide variety of restaurants and entertainment venues. It is just a 20 minute light rail ride from the airport and parking for clients is cheap.

Thanks everyone for all of your help and advice!

The outpouring of PM's and emails from you guys and girls was absolutely awesome and really helped!

Thanks again for the super warm welcome to your city!  I know I'm going to have an awesome time while I'm here ;)
